That was a great movie.. but kids today would call it cheesy

Fast Times at Ridgemont High
The Breakfast Club
Revenge of the Nerds
Ferris Bueler's Day Off

the list can go on and on... My GF's daughter is a Jr in High School and has watched these movies and she thought they were just awful and terrible to watch.. Instead she would rather see Twilight and shite.. Kids these days just don't get it.. they are so fricking weird and different..

Times sure have changed since my 80s.. Miss that decade.. Greatest decade ever in my opinion.. Before Facebook, internet, cable news, twitter, cell phones, and email were born.. i truly think these 3 aspects are what has fricked us up as a friendly social society.

I love all those movies and none of them have a single moment as cheesy as this clip.

The rock music was better too. It was before that Cobain pussy messed everything up.

I 100% agree about Cobain...

He totally changed the music... Which is ok because his generation of music was fantastic.. but it was no Paradise City...

Just wanna make sure you're not trolling, yourself, genro, but no, I do not like Nirvana. Then again, I've never liked dudes who don't bathe. Took a long time for me to like Foo Fighters bc of the connection to Cobain.
Didn't care too much for the glam bands of the 80s, although I adore Def Leppard & anyone who doesn't think they are the cat's meow can kiss my 1/8 British arse.

I like Nirvana, but I don't like the effect it had on later bands. New Grunge is fricking awful.

That line about "that Cobain pussy" is actually from the movie The Wrestler, and like I said, I agree with it. Even though I like Nirvana, Cobain was a pussy and he killed awesome 80s metal.

Yeah, I think people lose sight of the fact that there was other music in the 80s besides the glam bands. The true "pop" was incredible, nothing like the shite of today, and the metal bands were awesome as well. There was a lot of true talent in music unlike the studio generated stuff now.

Btw, in your list of 80s movies, don't forget about "Sixteen Candles", my personal fav.

Ooohhh, forgot about Guns N Roses, my second fav behind Def Leppard. Could have been one of the greatest bands of all time if not for 2 alpha males clashing.

Respect GnR, but not my style. Not a fan of wailing guitar hitting a million notes, has no substance nor emotion or soul to me. Sure technically music like this can be difficult, just lacks emotion IMO. Exactly why I never cared for Slash.

Big fan of blues music. Ringing out notes, feeling every bit of it. Hendrix, SRV, BB King, Buddy Guy, Pink Floyd (Gilmour is heavily blues influenced), Led Zep, Allman Bros....

That's what I am into.
