I'm not sure if I'm imagining this but it almost looks like Brees has shoulder/elbow trouble. His delivery looks slower and longer; and not as much zip.

The problem defensively is that the scheme the Saints run this year is a complete opposite from the one they ran under Gregg Williams

Spags needs front 4 pass rush, which the Saints are not built to have, because the D-line in williams' defense was basically there to block people so the blitzes could get home.

The coverages are WAY more complicated. The pressure packages are more zone based. If he had guys that fit his system they'd probably be ok.

Offensively..they really miss Sean Payton's ability to make in-game adjustments and hide the weaknesses of his team. Not to mention the week-to-week preparation aspect.

The Saints defensive line has actually played very well against the run this year. Brodrick Bunkley and Cam Jordan have done a REALLY nice job in run situations.

Particularly jordan, who's done a good job setting the edge all year in the run game. The problem is, linebacker play outside of Curtis Lofton has been invisible for the Saints so nobody can really tell.

we hired a DC who runs a D that we absolutely don't have the talent for

our offense is so-so for the saints. it will get hot and stall out. we forget the run. it's a lot like 2010

Ok, so 3 players instead of 2.

A good majority of the team is short on talent though.

The D-line does their job against the run. The guys behind them don't.

Cam Jordan has been fantastic on run downs this year. It's a fact.

they draft RBs in the first round instead of getting a defensive player.

Well, Sed ellis doesn't really do anything. But the other guys.

Bunkley and Jordan have graded out really well all year. Jordan's got the most run stops of anyone in the NFL outside of JJ Watt.

Linebacker play makes them look terrible, but they really are doing their job.

you know what happened.

they have are missing a hc, the interim head coach, and their gm. it's got to be odd all around.

they've been in every single game this season and HC can easy make up for that one possession loss every game.

They are getting what they deserve for winning a championship by having to take out QB's. They would of lost easily if they didnt hurt Favre. Plus, they shouldnt of given Brees 100 mullion. Should of gotten some other good players. He isnt worth no where near 100 mil

DEs in spags' D shouldn't be known for their run-stopping

jordan needs to bulk up 10 lbs and ad 10-15 lbs of fat and move inside

I think he'd probably do better in pass rush situations right now if they put him inside.

He's really a 5 tech DE playing out of system.

New Orleans is dead last in the NFL in total rushing yards given up, 2nd to last in rushing TDs given up, and 2nd to last in yards per carry allowed. Sounds like they're doing a spectacular job

They actually did draft a player in the 1st round outside of Ingram in that draft.

Cam Jordan.

They're setting the edge and making room for linebackers to come in and make plays

The linebackers are not making plays.

in the NFL, there isnt a lot of difference in a team that goes 15-1 and a team that goes 5-11..

some lucky breaks, a little better QB play, a little better coaching, etc..

take away some good players, the head coach, etc.. thats huge
