One thing I have noticed this season and much of the tail end of last year was that it seems like we are literally lining up to snap the ball with 5 seconds on the play clock nearly every play. This is simply not enough time for Mettenberger to read the defense or the OL to pick out their assignments.

This may largely be what is leading to a ton of blown assignments, confusion, and all around poor rhythm with the offense. My guess is all calls are being relayed to Les who has to give the go ahead and this process is taking way too much time. Also, I don't think Studs is that great of a play caller and needs more time to process things.

Anyone else noticed this?

Lack of execution by our players not rushing our coaches to get them the play calls.

One day Les will have the talent to execute.
