LSU is very highly respected, moreso than we deserve right now. In both polls, despite our poor showing, we are the highest rated 1-loss team in both polls.
That is due to high respect for Miles and his whole staff. Les Miles has the second best win-loss record of all active major-conference coaches at their current schools. Only Saban at Bama has a better record, and just barely.
And Miles' imppressive record has been accumulated within the toughest conference in America during his 7+ years here.
Yesterday we displayed an impotent offense, and it has been that way more often than not this year. If the offense had performed at all, Miles and his Tigers would have won that game. Despite our pathetic offensive performance, if OBJ had just not gotten stripped after the completed long pass, we may well have won the game.
We are NOT going to fire Les Miles, and we are not going to hire an OC tomorrow.
We have 1 loss, and if we can somehow scratch and claw our way to better offensive play each week, we still have a chance to be there at the end.
No doubt, Miles owes LSU some kind of plan to get our offense up to the level of our defense, which may require new personnel. And he wants that improvement as much as we do.
But that ain't gonna happen in the middle of the stretch run of this football season. That discussion is for after the season is over.
How 'bout we get real and try to suggest positive, short-term ideas to help our offense be more successful this Saturday against the gamecocks, instead of hurling blame at our coaches and players and hurting the moral of our team and our fanbase?
Real Tiger fans fight for their team, especially when we are still in control of our own destiny.
That is what our coaches and players will be doing all week, because I guarantee they are not giving up, to just play the blame game from here on out, like so many on this board.
The Tigers are still in the running, and they want to find ways to fix problems, finish this season strong and stay in contention for a championship for as long as they can.
Right now, they could use all the positive support that we fans can provide them.

You can't stress the importance of a rowdy atmosphere next Saturday.

It just means the people behind us lost to easier opponents

Maybe or did we just lose to a team that was over rated like us in the polls. Florida loses to UGA, USCe and Fla St. Book it. No way they run 21 straight times on any of them and we all know they can't throw. All three better offensively then LSU.
