Gustavo is eventually going to kick someone in the face if that counts.

Too much EPL talk going on in here, we're referring to strikers who would be useless in the continent's major leagues. Major league, anyway.

Just realized you probably didn't get my American sports talk radio joke. :/

But seriously, who do I need to kneecap to get Arteta a cap?

I'd link you to one of my favorite hat tricks of all time (positioning, head, skill), but I'm sure you don't need a video to re-live it.

I remember it. And it's 33% of the reason I stayed in this argument.

Bayern is positioning themselves for a historic run. It's clear, if you can't find a striker, get an amazing midfield capable of all, and just fricking push the ball in the net.

Ade even sent a header off the post that match (if I remember correctly). Must have been an anomaly of a match.

You'll see this at Liverpool in 3 years (assuming the pieces remain). LFC has 1 striker, 1 winger and 4 midfielders (5 if you count Glen Johnson). It won't be changing anytime soon either.

Thanks. I was worried that I had been attending to this thread with no laugh. Thanks.

Pool will need to get higher quality mids though. Joe Allen is great but I haven't seen how well Nuri Sahin translated yet.

Gustavo is one of the most underrated defensive mids in the world. His craziness is his only deterrent. Javi is a beautiful gazelle. He's very solid defensively and is an awesome passer.

lot of quality and even more young quality, albeit not fully developed quality. the u-19 team is a mixture of top german and austrian talents. i'll be honest in saying the austrians are probably better at this point. somehow the club have managed to commandeer the austrian youth. munich is close to austria, but bayern is also very "bavarian" in their taste for players, especially young players

Just spent 6 minutes watching every goal of Adebayor's 07/08 campaign. I apologize to him because he had 7 header goals in 48 appearances! It may have been 6, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt on one that looked like it went in off his chest.

Reminded me what a crazy year that was. He had a lot of flukey goals. Arsene did well to sell him on and make that much off of him.

3 goals and 2 assists in 4 appearances so far for Nuri. He's a bright player and will only improve as he continues to adapt to the league.

Shelvey will be special, as will Suso. Jordan Henderson is also very bright (despite the critics) and Lucas will eventually come back to form. Gerrard has a year left and then it will be those 5.
