Not bad w/o Hamilton. Biggest Change is Kinsler is not a leadoff hitter. Your thoughts?

1) Gentry CF
2) Andrus SS
3) Beltre 3B
4) Cruz RF
5) Murphy LF
6) Kinsler 2B
7) Young DH
8) Napoli (FA) (Or another catcher)
9) Moreland 1B

Good thing for Kinsler that the focus is on Hamilton. Kinsler disappeared for 5 months.

I think Kinsler to OF, Profar to 2B possibly Olt to 1B. It doesn't look too bad if the younger players can live up to expectations.

Profar plays short. He is better than elvis.

Angels were the favorite with Hamilton

Who is the catcher next year?

Napoli is probably gone, and the Rangers have Soto's rights for another year I believe. Change that and then once the season goes in the tank, trade Elvis, Young (even if you have to absorb some of his contract--he's in his last year), and Nathan to refill the system. Maybe also Mitch if Olt is on track for 2014.

I think the 2013 season is a lost cause, but if they do things right 2014 could be a surprise year.

That deal can be done unless Murphy just wants out and I don't know why he would.

They tried Profar at 2B and it wasn't good. He's definitely SS but he's still a year out.

Soto for Texas, no clue for the Angels (doubt Napoli goes there since he and Scioscia didn't get along)

And LAA played as well as Texas in the second half. Texas went from just over 5 runs a game to 4.8. Coincidentally, Hamilton had his average drop .050 and his OPS drop .183. He may have sucked the second half, but he was the reason Texas was even in a position to collapse.

Hitting will be an issue, young guys you can't count on them to come out and hit like Trout.

Trading Andrus would be a colossal mistake IMO. I am not sure I would even consider moving him to 2nd.

But he is a Boras client and unless your name is A-Rod and you play for the pinstripes, you don't re-sign with your original team. Better to get players for him than to lose him in FA for only a mere draft pick.
