frick you, retard. If you suffered through the Archer, Hallman and Dinardo years yet you are unhappy with Miles, winning the SEC, national championship games and being a national powerhouse, then you aren't an LSU fan. You're fricking stupid.

game six at an improved florida and we have lost key players to injury and self inflicted wounds. if we come out today and play a complete game with minimal mistakes it should quiet the doubters. as soon as we lost TM7 I said we are a two loss team and, frankly, this squad has done little to make me feel differently. we all live in the hope that the '12 version of LSU football has either evolved or has saved it's best for the back-end of this season. make it so, Tigers.

I understand the point you are trying to make but.......

quote:

(most LSU "fans" never attended the school- or any college for that matter)

This type of shite drives me insane. Do you (or anyone for that matter) really believe in order to be a "real LSU fan" you must have attended the University (or insert any college team for that matter)? I never went to LSU but grew up in BR and come from a long line of diehard LSU fans / family and would put my passion and love for LSU against anyone - Alumni or not!!
healthy minority of the fan base sucks at life and works shitty blue collar jobs
Sorry C#9 but this really makes you sound like an elitists snob that is too good for the rest of us commoners. There are millions of underlings these days that are praying for a "shitty blue collar job" so they can pay the bills and a bunch of them are probably LSU fans (maybe even a few Alumni )!!!

i hate to say it but if LSU plays like they did against auburn and towson then its very possible. The swamp is a tough place to play, South Carolinas D ends will eat our tackles up if the dont improve, u never know going on the road to Texas AM, and we all know about the Bama game.
Honestly i think we r going to find out what kind of team we have today, and i hope its not the team ive seen the last 2 weeks

Here's my take.

We have lots of guys on offense who've made too many mistakes this season, and those mistakes have killed momentum or failed to capture momentum when we really needed it. QB, receivers and o-line mainly.

This offense desperately needs sustained success under fire, to build its confidence and then play even better with that renewed confidence.

It is hard to HAVE to turn things around on the road, but that is where we are. Our offense has backed itself into a tough spot. Now, we have to play mistake-free and rebuild our confidence in a very hostile atmosphere.

If the offense can do that, even if we end up having to swallow a loss, in a close, well-played battle in the swamp, this team could still go on to contend for the SEC, as expected.

But if our offense continues to make stupid mistakes, hand momentum to our opponent, and keep our defense on the field too long, we could be in for a long season, and every game left on our schedule will be a big challenge.

I believe our guys will step it up today, play with focus and win this game.

But I also believe they will make a few mistakes and will have to maintain their confidence and focus in the face of adversity, to earn that victory in the swamp.

It needs to start with confident leadership from our young moustache-less qb.

C'mon Mett, show the fans and your teammates confident, fired-up, body language for 60 minutes, and your Tigers will prevail.

f Lsu lost the next four games in a row, would that be the biggest collapse of a preseason #1 team?

Not sure. I think there have been bigger choke jobs. But YES there is a good chance that LSU could lose the next 4. Not trying to be negative, But there is a very good chance of this if they don't get rid of the TO'S and flags and the O-line improves BIG-TIME.

Hate to break it to you Duke, but my wife knows more about football than you. You didn't say there was a "chance" that LSU goes 0-4....you said there is a "GOOD" chance they go 0-4. I am bookmarking this. We'll chat again in 4 weeks when you will have to kneel before ZOD!

I just want to know what the miles haters will say/do if we go undefeated again.

You know exactly what they'll do. They'll say that it was purely talent and its all Miles' fault that the game was even close. We've seen it throughout Miles' career. Hell, when we demolished UGA in the SECCG , they all pointed out ,that we were down at the half.
There is a part of our fan base that Miles will NEVER win over. No matter how much he wins. They hate him now and he has ushered in the GREATEST ERA IN LSU FOOTBALL HISTORY and all of them fail to realize that it's harder to maintain an elite program , rather than build one.

I've sat in Tiger Stadium since the McClendon days. That includes the Archer, Hallman and Dinardo years as well.
I've been very unhappy with the undisciplined, sloppy teams Miles has put on the field throughout his years.
I guess I'm not an LSU fan.
I guess I should stop funding TAF
I guess I should cancel my season tickets.

ETA: If LSU plays like they have the last two weeks, they will go 0-4.
However, I don't think that's going to happen.
But what do I know. I'm not an LSU fan, according to you.
