We don't get the the pick. The Mets just forfeit it. We get a supplemental pick

Wanna find a unique Braves one. Gets real confusing with same avatars. Especially two Bama fans.

Sickels ranks the Braves system 27th.

27) Atlanta Braves (8): System thinned out very quickly due to graduations, trades, injuries. Strengths: There is still good depth in pitching, though the highest ceiling arm (Julio Teheran) is enigmatic. Weaknesses: hitting. Tools players like Christian Bethancourt and Edward Salcedo are developing poorly with the bat.
Is anyone else really, really concerned with where we are going to be as a franchise in 4 or 5 more years? Freeman and Heyward will command big contracts and we may not be able to afford both of them. If Medlen, Beachy, and Minor all continue to develop we won't be able to afford all of them. J-Up will be gone. McCann will likely be gone. Our farm system has been gutted over the last few years, and the TV contract is going to really start fricking us over in a few years as more and more large market teams sign far more lucrative deals.

We won't lose all those guys
We will re-sign Upton or Heyward and freeman. And most likely Medlen.
McCann prolly gone tho

As I've said all along, the time to win is definitely now. The future has some uncertainty.
This year will probably be our best chance.

I think you're looking way too far in advance. A lot of things can happen in 5 years. Farm systems are replenished all the time. Contract extensions, buying out arbitration years, trades, purging of expiring contracts, prospect development, so on and so forth. Not all of our players will pan out becoming superstars... requiring exponential contracts either.
Good competitive teams re-load and continue to compete. It's something the Braves have always been good at... we aren't going to suddenly all off the map.
