3 year deal plus a club option for Cody Ross makes Francisco/Reed J/maybe Gattis more appealing.
The Scott Hairston rumors don't make much sense to me unless the Braves don't really expect Gattis to be ready and they only want Reed on the bench

The braves were up and down all year last year and the nats were on fire from start to finish and we still finished just 4 games back. I'm thinking we take the division back. Time to restore order in the NL East.

I don't know if I've just been drinking too much or what, but I've really talked myself into liking the idea of Road Runner/Gattis/Reed platooning variously with Prado filling whichever spot he needs.

Literally no one agrees with me on this, and many think I am fricking retarded for having this opinion, but I think Road Runner should at least get a shot as the every day 3B. He posted a .790 OPS in 42 starts last year. Not a huge sample size, but that is pretty good production.

Play Gattis vs. LHP, Road Runner vs. RHP and you got a couple of guys that can mash and hopefully not kill you in the field.
I mean, with their power, that could be .260/.310/.450 with 30 bombs.
That's pretty much Jason Kubel. You could do worse than that.
Of course, it could also be .220/.280/.350 or some shite.

I'd be fine with that too. We are going to hit a lot of HRs and rack up a lot of Ks this season anyway, so we might as well go big or go home.
My major concern about the offense next year is that 3/4 of those HRs will be of the solo variety.
