That's the only place I've launched to fish Salvador, other than fishin the gulf canals at the north end coming from Catouatche.

I've never had problems. Trucks get broken ino or something? The launch is a total piece of shite fa sho.

Its been known to happen. The launch is convenient for fishing the area though so people use it.

FWIW I've only parked my GW unit there once, and it was to launch an airboat and work deer hunters on the WMA.

Pier 90 or segnette would be where I take my personal truck.

I've launched Gauche only once.

And

Pier 90

I may never launch at that shithole again. They should be paying me to use that shitty launch.

I like bayou gauche because I have places down bayou des allemands I'll fish as well and my small boat doesn't take crossing the lake very well. I can work the bank and hit the close bays and still be able to make it back in quickly once the wind picks up.

Yeah the launch is shitty, but its a higher visibility area compared to the gauche launched tucked back away in BFE.

I'd burn all of my gas going from pier 90 to south lake Salvador and back though. And if it got windy mid morning I'd be screwed.

Gotcha. I've never really fished that side before. I've stuck to the west and south side mostly because of where I launch.
