Saturday morning TV for late 80s, early 90s
Posted by dallastiger55 on 10/4/12 at 8:06 pm00
im in my early 30s and i can remember there was nothing better in the world then waking up on a saturday morning, getting a box of whatever sugary cereal was in the pantry, and watching my favorite shows.
Anyone remember these?
Saved by the bell
California Dreams
Muppet Babbies
Pro Stars(michael jordan, bo jackson, wayne gretzsky)
Smurfs
Pee Wees Playhouse
Ninja Turtles
NBA inside stuff
I even remember WWF coming on for a while.
It was a better day back then....

USA Cartoon Express used to show this along with Space Ghost, The Herculoids, and some other good ones.

USA did show some great ones like Masters of the Universe and Smurfs. Speaking of WWF, there was that cartoon of young WWF characters (Junkyard Gang or something like that).

Garfield and Friends was good too. Not US Acres though. I also like Heathcliff. It was weird seeing two shows about orange cats and I always hoped they would cross over or something. They were different enough to not confuse them I guess.

No, Smurfs and Snorks were the exact same show except one was underwater. Garfield and Heathcliff were quite different.

They were still different looking enough that I wouldn't confuse them.
I was just interpreting your prior post differently.

I'm old enough to remember when the Bugs Bunny and Road Runner cartoon changed to the Bugs Bunny and Tweet Show in the mid 80s. Anyone also remember Fraggle Rock?

I had a cat that recognized the theme song and would come running from anywhere in the house and sit on the ironing board in the spare room to watch it.
