But I still have no idea if the new where Fox Sports N.O. is going to be broadcast. I currently have Cox and have kept it solely for the purpose of watching the Hornets on CST. Now that they are moving to Fox I want to switch to U-Verse, but can't get anyone to confirm the that they will have the new Fox channel. Will Cox? Any ideas??

Nothing official has been stated. The best bet is that anyone in the Hornets region that got the Rockets on FSSW should get Hornets games now. I think that would cover most of Louisiana, there has been some question about whether parts of Mississippi would get the games.

It's frustrating that nothing official has been announced yet. I mean, I'm sure they know who will carry it, when, what channel #, etc by now.

Fox Sports doesn't have FSNO listed on their main web site where the regionals are listed LINK On top of that, foxsportsneworleans.com doesn't go anywhere, not even to some "Coming Soon" page. It does seem like they should be further along than they are. I wonder if rather than using existing Fox Sports resources they tried to build this whole channel from the ground up and they are running behind schedule. At this point I guess we should just hope they're ready for October 31st.

Ok, so if all goes according to plan, I'll get some questions answered about what we'll see when sometime this evening (finally). No distribution or anything.

People can always cancel, so no promises.

The better conversation is still up in the air.

Best I can do.

I almost would expect them to leave that up to the providers to advertise. I have seen internet ads for the new Comcast sports channel that the Rockets moved to, but that's because they are like CST was and want fans to pressure other providers to add the channel. From our reasoned speculation it seems like FSNO should be on pretty much every provider in the south LA area.

Hugh Weber told me flat out in response to a direct question that distribution and vroadcast quality was more important that the fee for the rights.

This was the old regime, but the problems to be resolved don't all vanish by putting pen to paper on a IOU.

By all accounts, the fee was increased only marginally from the first decade-long deal. It stands to reason they were getting that better distribution fron a network that was already being distributed thusly.

People are right to be curious, but they should ease up on the panic. It will be resolved. There is a contract.

I expect far more people to be able to see games come opening tip. I expect a few people will be negatively affected. Dems da breaks.

Ok, got some info.

This is essentially a partial preview of a just-recorded Hornets247 podcast with David Wesley.

They are still sorting out what they are going to be doing in terms of production. Ponder what that means for getting some coverage to pair with the three games in the coming week.

There were few specifics given beyond that.

I'm still working other angles.

ETA: It's up. Here's the link: LINK /
