-This will be the first time since 1997 that San Diego has played a regular season game at the Superdome. We had them on the schedule in 2008 as a home game but that game was played in London.

got bored and broke down where these teams rank heading into this week.

Saints Offense
-8th in total offense
-25th in rushing offense(75 att. 323 yds.) 4.3 yards per carry.
-3rd in passing offense(have given up 9 sacks).

Chargers Defense
-13th in total defense
-7th in rushing defense(78 att. 321 yds.) 4.1 yards per carry.
-17th in passing defense.
-7 QB sacks
-5 Interceptions

Chargers Offense
-22nd in total offense.
-17th in rushing offense(110 att. 400 yds.) 3.6 yards per carry.
-22nd in passing offense(have given up 9 sacks).

Saints Defense
-32nd in total defense
-32nd in rushing defense(154 att. 747 yds.) 4.9 yards per carry.
-24th in passing defense.
-6 QB sacks
-2 Interceptions

-the turnover differential has the Chargers at +3.
- they have 9 takeaways and 6 giveaways.

-the Saints are even in the turnover differential.
- we have 5 takeaways and 5 giveaways.

We'll win and Drew will break Johnny Unitas' record.

I'm hearing the Chargers are thin at cornerback too

Looks like the Chargers aren't exactly tearing it up on offense either. The only good team they've played was Atlanta and they got blown out.

I know we've had our struggles but their 3-1 record is deceiving in my opinion.

Such a telling stat when it comes to the Saints, isn't it?

At least most of ours are by design

Rivers looks deep, nothing is there, throws to Mathews. Mathews gets hit and takes himself out of the game with an aggravated sandy vagina.

Enter Jackie Battle.

well, last year we kinda started slow in the running game because we shuffled our O-line around. Kruetz was over the hill and Strief missed some games. DLP came in and did pretty well. Charles Brown did a good job I thought besides the Rams game. I think he was also not playing at 100% health wise either in that game.

This year, our O-line coach is the interim-interim- head coach to start out with. We are trying to replace possibly the best guard in the game (Nicks). Grubbs has been okay but maybe he just isn't used to an offense where there are 40-50 pass attempts a game. I don't know.

Grubbs has been solid this season, but he was the weak link last game. He was the only poor performer on the line, giving up the most pressures and sacks. Which I found very surprising since Bushrod had to go against Matthews.

I see us winning this game and the team looking good. Its on a national stage and the dome will be packed for people wanting to witness Brees breaking the record. Then they use the bye week to get some rest and get some guys healthy and get the team focusing on the rest of the season. Come out and destroy the Bucs(I will be in attendance). Then who knows what can happen? I see them getting on a roll and beating some good teams (Eagles,Denver,Atlanta) and having a chance to win a big game towards the end to make it into the playoffs. This season is not over by any means. I will say its over for sure if they end up losing 7 and its mathematically impossible, or 8 games, I dont see them getting in at 8-8.
