I prefer food not touching. I don't want the juice from the peas or the dressing from the salad running into my gravy or on my protein or other sauce. I want to taste the individual flavors.

This is why I detest the habits of restaurants piling the proteins atop a starch or vegetable for presentation.

I was coming to post almost that exact thought.

my other problem is that I love meat on the bone, but I want to clean that bone off at the table and I have anxiety when in a restaurant or at someone else's home and I can't do it.

And, you have openly discounted my posts because I'm a girl!

MSGCGirl, my ceramic plates have the one big section and the two smaller, but generous sections. I think they're at least 11 inches wide, larger than the typical plate, anyway.

Luv, I do not bury the bones in the backyard. I save them for soups after I wash them well.

I will eat fast food if the person taking my order had a name under 35 points in Scrabble.

Same. Take what you want, but eat all you take.

I like every bite to be the perfect bite.

Also, like to finish my sandwich with my last chip.

Same with burger and last fry.

Something like this. If I'm eating 2 or more foods (like meat, rice, & veggie), it has to have "even" bites. If I don't plan it out right and I end up with too much of one thing like rice, I'll leave it on the plate or get more of the other stuff to balance it out.

Other thing: I HATE peas. If I'm served rice pilaf or fried rice with peas in it, I'll pick every single pea out, even if I'm at a nice restaurant. I don't care how childish it looks, I refuse to put them in my mouth.

I hate people dragging arse when I call them to dinner. I always serve myself last, and I hate eating cold food.

I like LeSeur petit pois. That's the only green pea I like, but I still wouldn't want those in any other dish. I don't like the green peas in fried rice or pot pies etc... I eat around them when possible, but I don't pick them out. I probably should.

one of my many many many general OCD's is to not talk about all the weird shite about me
(I don't get personal on here)

BUT
I'll share this with yall....
I can't stand to see people gorging themselves with so much food.

Slow down, enjoy your food, and only eat in moderation. You'll have a happier life.

+1

My wife is either total ADD or passive aggressive, she will always find something to do just as I am serving our plates. I learned the best thing to do is not to make a fuss, that ruins my mood, I just start without her.

Wet table. Always have to have coasters or cocktail napkins to put all drinks on. Restaurant or home.

I don't like sweaty drinks either. You pick them up without a napkin and end up with wet hands and drips on your clothes. That's why I use Tervis Tumblers for almost everything at home.

If I'm somewhere at which Solo cups are used, I ask for two cups. I wrap the one with the drink in it with a few napkins and put it in the other cup. My own thermal creation.

I can't eat peas at all. They make me gag, used to make me throw up when I was a kid. Just the smell of peas makes me sick.

Not a fan of sweaty glasses either. Or when the napkin under or around it gets all gross and saturated.

I like taking even bites too, especially when there is a salad. I like the combo of a raw vegetable and cooked meat/starch.
