Budweiser Budvar, its a Czech beer. Had the Budvar and Pilsner Urqell on tap in Prague a couple weekends ago, delicious.

Yeah, I know.. didn't they have to change the name to Czechvar or something like that because of Bud?

It's sold as Czechvar as opposed to Budvar in the USA, but "Budweiser" was rejected by the EU because Budweiser Budvar came first.

And oddly enough it's marketed in North America by Anheuser-Busch.

I was wondering why when I googled budvar that came up. I've only bought it over here in Bavaria.

I see what you did there. You joined the army to get your Eurropean beer fix on the cheap.

Staropramen is the other big Czech beer. Pilsner Urquel is the only one I care for. The others are just bland lager/ pilsners.

I like Krusevich (SP?). There is a Czech place by my work that I go to often. I enjoy the dark and the regular both.

Headed out to The Box soon to watch a scrimmage. Will likely have FBD on the way.

FBD - Straight to Ale Monkeynaught IPA. Good stuff.

I'll have to keep an eye out for this next time I am in Alabama. Would be a nice canned option at the beach.

FBD was a La Fin du Monde before the LSU baseball scrimmage.
SBD was a Hitachino Nest White Ale picking up sushi at Hello Sushi on the way home. Presently contemplating TBD.

FBD is a Nola Blonde. Just fired up the burner. Brewing an Oatmeal stout tonight. Cool weather got to me this morning and I went out and got the ingredients at lunch.
