Audie Murphy is a definitive western actor no doubt. James Stewart, eh not so much. BUT! James Stewart was in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence. So... Yeah he gets the not.

And

He was in Rear Window

I don't know about that. The westerns Stewart did with director Anthony Mann pretty much trump anything Audie did. One of the two best westerns Audie did was with Stewart, Night Passage.

John Wayne 20
Clint Eastwood 22
James Stewart 8
Gary Cooper 16
Robert Duvall 4
Randolph Scott 6
Audie Murphy 8
Gregory Peck 16

Subtracted from Clint and added to Peck. Nothing against Clint, Clint is the man and all but let's not let him run away with this thing just yet.

No I don't say I was crazy about Audie. I'm actually not crazy for any of his movies. But he was a western guy. Pretty much all he did. Not the same with James Stewart. Stewart probably did what? 1,000 les westerns that Murphy, yet I like almost all of Stewarts better. Have to admit though, I haven't seen a ton of Murphys. And over the past few years I have knocked out a ton of westerns I had never seen before.

No Name On The Bullet and the aforementioned Night Passage would be the ones I'd recommend.

John Wayne 22

James Stewart 8
Gary Cooper 16

Audie Murphy 8
Gregory Peck 16

Eliminated Robert Duvall and added to Randolph Scott. Randolph Scott!

Be glad you missed out on the Sexiest actress tournament. Should have just called it the Maxim tournament.

YOU WERE MY BROTHER

Like I mentioned in the finals OP, I'm actually surprised how well the classic ladies did. I mean half of the elite 8 were of past generations. Given the age group of the board it wasn't too bad. It was to be expected. And neither of the finals girls are hooker style chicks.
