This team is going to play their hardest, win or lose. All this hair pulling and whining just shows the weak, panty-waisted nature of the fan base. Support your team and let them fight it out without acting like a bunch of frightened little girls.

No one said they were going to play their hardest. It's just that their hardest might not be enough.

They didn't come to LSU to hang 65 on Towson. You think they even wanted to play in that game? They came here to battle with the big boys. This week the season finally begins.

The season did not begin with Auburn or Washington? Look, I understand that they were probably not up for Towson. I have had trouble getting excited about much of the season thus far. But that being said, dumb penalities and turnovers kills teams, and those are things that should not happen. To a certain extent, you play just like you practice or scrimmage.

This team has concerns.

That being said,

This, all by itself, shows how little you know about competitive sports. If, as you suggest, they didn't want to play the game and gave a half-assed effort as a result, then they don't deserve to have LSU on their helmets. Even assuming it was practice (and it pretty much was a scrimmage), do you really think that not giving it an honest effort is the right way to practice and develop excellence? Practice doesn't make perfect--practice makes permanent. And "practice" like what went on Saturday night ingrains skills that are woefully inadequate.

And all this is completely apart from the fact that about 35,000 people and another 17 people on national television (after about 10 minutes of the game) took time out of their schedules and money out of their pockets to watch. What happened on the field Saturday was, if it didn't represent an honest effort, a complete lack of respect for the fans. And that is most certainly a two-way street. They play hard win or lose? bullshite. They didn't play even half-assed, and though they got a "W" on the schedule, they lost good fans with their bad attitude.

Absolutely, some fans just don't get it!
If that was giving their "Best" then we are
in Big trouble!! Hope they turn it around
in time for Fla. or we could be in for a
slide like Arky.

I have always had a firm belief that.

Your not as bad as your last loss or as good as your last win..

OK in this case, As bad as your last win..

But watch - Beat the Gators and everyone will be confident the Tigers are sure to win the BCS Championship.

agree with ya TBOY and if people think you get up the same for townson as you do florida, you know nothing about sports. Its human nature not saying we win or lose against florida or anybody else for the rest of the year, but if we lose the rest of the games this season Ill still support LSU. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!
