Players only meeting not a bad idea right now

I believe this team would benefit from a players only meeting w/o any coaches present to air out anything they have on their chests to get the team refocused...especially the older guys. The game this week against UF could be a spring board to getting hot for the rest of the year and allow us to finally see the dominant team we thought we had before the season, not the lethargic group we've seen so far. It just seems everyone is not on the same page right now and needs to come together before the toughest part of the schedule

If we had enough leadership to do that we wouldn't have some of the problems we do.

Usually when you hear of a players only meeting, the team has already quit on the coach and the program becomes a dumpster fire for 5 years or more.

This team has great leadership IMO. Eric Reid. Bennie Logan, Spencer Ware etc. Guys who have been in wars and excelled in the biggest moments. LSU's problems on offense are execution related and that takes individual accountability. This team is way younger at many positions than people often realize. They have played their worst 4 out of 5 weeks and are still undefeated.
The time is now to see a game played with focus and determination from the offense . Im ready to see it!

I think peer leadership is very important at this level. I think we allowed the wrong kids to fill that that role in 2008 and 2009. I think we had good leaders in 2010 and 2011.
Who are our leaders this year? Sam on defense? Not sure on offense.

This team is undefeated and has a lot more confidence in its ability than you do.

they played against their weakest competition all year that was their worst. If you can't get blocking assignments right against sucky teams you won't get them right against good teams. This concept is like a 1st grader writing the alphabet it isn't rocket science. We have horrible pass protection and our coaches and players aren't fixing it.

Teams get pumped to play John Curtis, Evangel, West Monroe all the time and get thier butt handed to them by 30 points. Just because our guys will get pumped to play Forida,South Carolina, Bama doesn't mean the Magic blocking FAIRY is gonna sprinkle PIXY DUST on our OLINE.

I feel confident no team under sabans thumb has ever had the need to have a players only meeting.

only happens when teams are losing games. never heard of a team only meeting when the team is undefeated.
on the other hand, those players who called the Auburn game a "wake up call" I'd have to say they haven't woke up yet.

All these repetitive turnovers and penalties have to stop. I'm not saying it's one player or one coaches fault. I think they know everyone as a whole has to get better and that starts with the fundamentals each day in practice. I know we are better than what we have showed up to this point, and that's why it is so frustrating as a fan. It's quite obvious they aren't as focused as they need to be. And all that crap about it's a stupid idea to call a players only meeting when you're undefeated.....please save it. They need something to get their attention as a TEAM and be on the same page.
