Other than the performance, last night's game bad for several other reasons:
1. Recruits see a crappy game against a smaller division team 2. Recruits see a lot of empty seats
3. Recruits don't see Tiger Stadium enthusiam and TS advantage 4. They don't hear or read about any hype leading up to the game 5. Uninspired play
6. Recruits play before crowds that size in high school by the start of the 4th quarter. Get it together, Alleva. At least make the patsies average teams from major conferences (like Washington).

You understand LSU can't force other schools into a game, right? Given that the Tigers have the best overall record in the SEC for the past 10 years, how many FBS schools are out there just waiting for a call from BR?

TexTgrTed, I guess I don't understand how it works, but is Towson as good as they can do? I bet 5,000 fans looked on the internet to see which state Towson is in.

We win and still drop in the polls. I don't see any positives from this either.

For those that only complain and not really follow. For the last time hopefully! We had to schedule Towson after TCU backed out of the game! So blame TCU.

The Ath Dept is on record stating they have had & contine to have challenges getting OOC games scheduled.

It takes agreement by both schools for games to happen. Most of this is done years in advance, but still subject to change. Look at the TCU games-originally scheduled for 2013/2014, then TCU joins the B12, and becomes 1 neutral site game.

The SEC really needs to go to a 9 game schedule to help with this. It could be a 4/4/1 format with 1 game every year at an off-campus site.

Because of conference realignment, the SEC didn't have it's conference schedule finalized for a lot longer. This uncertainty prevented them from scheduling games until the schedule was released. Once it was, the AD had a very short window (relatively speaking) to schedule teams to fit into the 4 weeks that were now known not to be conference games. At that point, most teams had had their schedules filled for months. We were left with whoever we could get.

I see this posted on here about every two days and every time it's still wrong. TCU didn't back out of anything. They were never on the 2012 schedule. LINK

Thank you, kingbob, for the explanation. It's nice to know that not everyone on this site is a smartass.

I live in Murfreesboro,TN and know some higher ups at MTSU. I know we played them a couple of times in the past 7-8 years. Might be a good option down the road. After all, they kicked Ga Tech's butts yesterday.
