What you really mean is the LSU football team and it's staff won, lost, sucked.

As a fan you are not a "we." You may go to school there, went to school there or are just a fan but in the end YOU didn't do anything. You watched, drank, clapped, cussed, puked, bitched and post a lot of coaching talk on this forum but if you were better you would be on the field in a player or coaching capacity.

It's a game. Sit back and enjoy the ride, ups, downs, twists, turns and all. I've been doing it for over 40 years and the day you realize it's a game and entertainment for you in the Fall of each year you will appreciate it much more.

People act like it was them who went out there and played like that. Other fans act like it to. They laugh at us because of how LSU is playing.

Personally, I'm never "embarrassed" because I have no control over what this team does. I just watch.

I know it's a thing to say "we" as you feel close to the team, even I say it. But seriously, win or lose, I'm not going to walk out of the house acting like I just took a crap in my pants. What do I care? I'm my own person.

Well at least someone gets it. I'm not saying you can't be mad or glad or disappointed but lets all live in reality here. Tomorrow morning the sun will come up and I'll go to work, same as last week.

Win or lose I'm still wearing my LSU shirts, and getting geared up for the next game. People can laugh at me and what not, I don't care, I like LSU , I don't play for them so I don't know why you're making fun of me.

Would they rather me cheer for a different team so I can't be laughed at?

if I took it all literally I would wrap the noose over my neck and jump off my front balcony with my iPad in hand tuned into the Rant.

I know what it is. I have a few LSU items around the house and I am an Alumni.

Alumnus. I'll not even edit the original.

I'm not laughing at you Mr. Peterson. I have the gear too. But you said it in your post. Them. They. Not "we"

I used to think that this was a pretty douchey thing to say, but as I've re-evaluated what being a fan actually means (after being depressed for the better part of a week in January) I've come to agree. I love Football, especially CFB. But in the end it's still just some teenagers/early 20-somethings playing a game and living THEIR
dreams--not mine.

Look, I get emotional both ways. That's why I like the game but I don't get in meltdown mode for anything. I have always realized its just a game. My life, my job, my family, my bank account mean much more to me. They didn't look good last night. But all other things in my life are fine.
