If nothing else changes then this sucks and Goodell is a tyrannical arse.

If, however, this is the first move in a significant reduction or elimination of suspensions for players and coaches, then it's cool and Goodell is a tyrannical arse.

Have to agree.

The NFL is rewarding him for snitching.

what is the coincidence

Williams signed an affidavit 3 days before a meeting with the players and Goodell kinda implicating Vilma (sort of). Goodell pulled it out for the first time when he met with Vilma a couple of weeks ago.

edt: sorry about the confoosin'

Looks more and more to me like he is. What also got leaked within about 24 hours of the Williams affidavit was an affidavit by Cerullo (the mole) which gave a very different recitation of the supposed facts about the alleged $10,000 bounty incident. They are both what would be called "impeachable witnesses".

I should bump the thread where a guy refused to believe that Williams could be manipulated by Goodell to sign his affidavit. This seems like basically clear proof of that to me.

what does "attend" mean here? Sidelines, coaches booth or just in the stadium?

If it's the latter, what's the big deal

What's disturbing about this is how brazen and obvious it is. Goodell doesn't seem to care about anything but his power and ego. But I guess we saw that on display during refgate too.

unbelievable...literally the only fricking thing that has come out that would lead people to somewhat believe in a pay to injure program was the Williams tape/rant. Now he is the first one back in any capacity of all the coaches/management. This is some unbelievable bullshite. Yes I'm fricking mad.

maybe because he was the so called orchestrator of the entire program yet Payton and Loomis are completely banned while he has been given some privileges back.

Because it's obviously tied to Williams latest affidavit, which is more about personally giving Goodell cover in Vilma's defamation lawsuit against him than it is about any league bounty program.

What a self-serving little tool, Goodell that is.
