Why are we having a difficult time recruiting DT's. Considering our success at the position it is reasonable to think that the top high school DT recruits in the country would be ready to accept offers from LSU. This doesn't seem to be the case however.

Lack of DT talent in-state the last couple of years. We're going up against big schools for guys out-of-state.

We're honestly not recruiting that many. LSU like the young guys. We're not having "difficulty".

Agree. We're not having trouble. We've dialed in the last 2 years on certain kids. Last year we missed on the couple of guys we really pressed for(none were really legit options) and passed on a few good ones altogether. This year we only wanted 2, maybe 3 from the getgo and have Lawson with Gilmore having been the focus all year. We're now starting to press Bain and a couple of others. Whether that has more to do with us possibly not getting Gilmore or just wanting another is for you to speculate about. I think we're looking for 2 more myself.

Yes, you should be patient. LSU still has a shot at Greg Gilmore and perhaps there will be any highly rated one in the mix over the next few months. Also, there are still some solid ones on the team that we have not seen very much--Mickey Johnson & Quinton Thomas. Shouldn't give up on them either.
