Hole - E - shite

that was badass...

As for it being like crimson tide..... There aren't many available plot lines on a tin can in the ocean the use of the island is a sub plot goldmine.

Best premiere of a new show this year. By far. I am pumped to see where this goes. Hopefully they stay with the Lost model of mystery with character development.

It was ok, but no lasting power. No way they can keep this going.

Really enjoyed it. I watched the pilot on Hulu.great lead character, and solid dialogue for a network show.

I'm thinking about putting a link in the OP to ABC's video player site where you watch full episodes for free online just so people can catch up on old episodes.

Would the fine admins of TD allow that?

Pretty awesome pilot, IMO. A rouge government group starting a nuclear war. SEAL team with a big mystery, and a nuke going off the east coast.

Holy shite. I didn't think an XO and a Captain could launch without codes from SecDef, but then again it makes sense in M.A.D.

this would be the perfect show to do a 1 season, 20 episode series

I like all the sub-plots. The interrogations back home, and the Admiral and co. having their own secret investigation. The assault and shoot em up on the island, battling the gangster ruler of the island, the mutiny within the crew, the deceived SEAL team.

I just can't see the actual Submarine, or nautical battles being involved much from here on out.

Andre Braugher is one of those guys I'd watch read a phone book, but I'm pumped he has a great role like this. I don't see why people think there's nowhere to go with this, as it seems there's well, lots of places to take the potential start of WW III.

Lots of potential and a great start to the series. Even like that they have shifting alliances already set up future power plays on the island.

Very impressed with the Pilot.

Hopefully they can continue...Always been a fan of Speedman.

The scene at the bar with the Navy Seal & the locals was legit...

Also, the video speech at the end was badass!

Like the Captain, just crazy enough. It's like Frank Pembleton's got the whole world in the box.

You could very well be right but if there is a showrunner out there that might be able to pull it off it is Shawn Ryan. It will be fun to see how long he can keep all the balls up in the air.

Yeah, you can link to ABC as it is the legal distribution of the show. No illegal feeds, though.

Also, I like that they have this huge cast that they are clearly going to flesh out later. They gave hints to a lot of people, but they already have about 10 or so important characters, which is a hard thing to establish in a one hour pilot.

Thanks. I'll add it after I get out of class.

Duly noted about the illegal feeds.

Yeah, with the huge cast you can really get the sense that there is going to be a ton of backstory along with the character development that will be inevitable and that goes along with the gold mine of plots and sub plots the show's premise offers.

I liked it, but agree. This feels like something that could work just 1 season, or more appropriately, like a mini-series.

Perhaps I'm not seeing how it could branch out into multiple seasons.

Did like seeing Robert Patrick in something again. Also, seeing a "24" actor I haven't seen in a long time. [link=(Kim's kidnapper from Season 1)]Kim Bauer's Kidnapper, Rick[/link], was on the sub.

Finally watched it. fricking loved it...thought it was awesome.

Agreed on Braugher...he was great. And I also agree that there are numerous places they can take the show. But that being said, I'd be fine if it were only one season...I think it was during The River when several of us talked about how networks should do little mini-series-type shows, and instead of worrying about getting something that will last, work on getting short-term, high-quality shows. That would be cool. But either way, I'll definitely be watching Last Resort. That was one of the better pilots I ever recall seeing..

I liked it a lot as well, looking forward to the season. I think it will be able to do ok, story wise, because the island will always be there, but the boat can move, and that opens up lots of avenues.
