Honestly, yeah it's frustrating," Ivory said. "But that's not going to change nothing. Yeah, the situation sucks, but right now I'm still trying to be patient."

Statistically speaking, the Saints running game looks encouraging as the Saints are averaging 5.0 yards per carry as a team. A 48-yard run by Thomas in Carolina and a 47-yard scamper by Sproles pad the stats, though. And Ingram, the team's second first-round selection in 2011, is only averaging 2.9 yards per carry this season.

The Saints kept five running backs after training camp, including Ivory. Ivory likely fell out of favor with the Saints as he struggled to hang onto the football during training cam and preseason.

"When you put in work and you look forward to contributing with the other guys, you expect to get in that rotation as well," Ivory said. "But there's nothing I could do right now but sit back, be patient and continue to grow in my craft."

Ivory said he's received no feedback on how he can move up the depth chart.

"It does surprise me (that there's no feedback)," Ivory said. "I just sit back and take it for what it is."

Ingram was a bust. We should trade while his stock is still somewhat high.

In a pass first offense during a cluster frick of a season, "career coaching" is probably the last thing Ivory will see.

Come on, man. When are you people going to realize that this offense does not produce 28 attempt, 120 yard rushers? If you gave any of the four running backs a decent line to run through, I bet they all could do it. But that's now how our offense succeeds. Plus, we have been behind for much of the year except for the Chiefs game.

HOWEVER, I will say this: Pierre Thomas is the clear cut best RB on this team right now.

I'm sure he will get plenty of opportunities for the Jets when we trade him for Revis.

Here's a counterpoint for the United States of Ingram Animosity.

Didn't Ivory have a lot of trouble holding onto the ball in the preseason?

What does he need feedback for?

Outperform the guy in front of you, seems obvious to me.

Ivory cannot move ahead of Ingram just because where he was drafted. I stated this before and Ingram will stay where he is until his contract runs out, we won't get rid of him before that.

Revis Schmevis. He's done. Let's trade him for Toni Cromo, (that's Antonio Cromartie for you neophytes)

I have zero doubt he would be in the lineup with Payton. The guy is our 2nd fastest running back and the most powerful one. He led the league in broken tackles his 1st season with the saints

I also don't really blame Ingram. Why I'm disappointed with how he runs, we need to start using him on passing downs and screens so he doesn't get keyed on every time he's in the game.
If I remember correctly, he caught a bit of screens at bama

I think "when you receive the ball, hold on to the ball" is pretty self explanatory...

Hard to trust a RB with fumbling issues, dont matter how hard he runs.
