Has defenses around the league finally caught up to all the pass happy teams? All the teams the past 3 years whose offense has centered around being pass heavy are all below .500. Is it time for us to concede the pass happy system and go to a more balance and or more run oriented offensive gameplan?

this is why the NFL is so goofy record wise this year. Teams that play the game correctly cant perform and overly aggressive teams and teams usually penalized for everything from offensive holding to defensive pass interference are able to dominate other teams due to the lack of officiating.

honestly I think its the scab refs inability to decipher the difference between pass interference and good defense.

This is the least of our problems.

Defenses haven't caught up. The rules still heavily favor offense and particularly the passing game. The problem is the replacement officials don't know how to properly call the game. You'll see an appreciable difference between the numbers with the replacement and real refs (once they come back).

Also,
Just because your team was good last year doesn't automatically mean they will be good this year. We all can assume GB should be 2-1, not 1-2. No one else has a "true" gripe about the refs 100% costing them the game. Even before these scab refs, the "official" refs threw flags as well. Great teams win despite the flags...

Your team invented, mastered, teaches and practices offensive pass interference.

The best theory that I have heard about this does blame the refs. There are so many interruptions to play, that the offenses do not get into a rhythm.

The fact that this coincides with the replacement refs is suspect. More likely to do with their officiating (or lack thereof). If aggressive defenses don't get called they have a much easier time keeping people covered and getting to the QB. The Saints are especially vulnerable I think due to the probably deliberate attempt to play careful and avoid penalties due to being perceived as dirty.

Cause they don't have a freakin' coach!

I am surprised how many people thought the Saints would do well this season without Payton. Brees may be the "coach on the field" but you need one on the sidelines too.

No. Pass "happy" teams are required to score 3 times to get 6 points due to frick stick refs.

The simple answer is none of the refs have Brady, Brees, or Rodgers on their fantasy teams.

That's true. One game playoff collapses can't meet the definition of skid.
