But on a scale of 1-10 what would you rate your confidence in him in a make or break scenario?

The best field goal i have ever seen was kicked by him. The make or break against minnesota.

I don't know though. He has missed a few, that have later came back to haunt us in games. I think those more than anything stand out.

Don't cut him, bring in another kicker like we did in 2010 so he knows its maker break time. He misses another big one, he's out. He has one job, I don't see why he can't make the damn kick.

He's probably unfazed by that by now.

While it wasn't impossible it also wasn't a chip shot, last week's miss should have been easy money.

I also love how when they swap games after the end, it comes on just in time to show TBs kicker hitting almost the exact same kick.

Yeah and Atlanta's kicker had no problem hitting a game winner right before our game.

How many game losing kicks does he have now? He's good for at least one or two season since 2009

Last week definitely wasn't game losing but we could've used it.

I can't even watch that. One think I like about hardly is that I am 75% certain that I could kick his arse even at 5'7" 165.
It makes me feel like a real bad arse that I could probably take an nfl player if it came down to it.

I almost posted in this thread last week and I was going to express why I have zero faith in Hartley and have never really thought he was anything but a barely above average kicker, but I didn't want to get raped on here. Now I feel safer posting in this thread. Bring back Kasey, at least he was pretty automatic for us. I'm sick of Hartley, I don't like him, his kicking style, or his misses.

Say whatever you want. But who is the alternative? There's no guarantee with any kicker. And if you want to throw gasoline on someone and set them on fire, do that to David Thomas.

This is about my sentiment now as we'll. it's sad that as soon as I saw all that penalty action I knew it was going to go to his head. I had pretty much prepared myself for him to miss it even though they gave us 5 yards back

Lest we also all forget how money Hartley was in getting us to the Super Bowl and actually cintributing big time in the SB win.

I appreciate the hell out of that...but how long do you get a pass because of that?

Bring back Kasey,

meh, even he was just 5 of 8 from 40 to 49 yards. he was perfect from 20 to 39 though.plenty other NFL kickers are better than him at long range but they are already on teams. check out some groza finalists from the last few years. try them out. bring them in.
