No. We're better at the QB position than we were last year. We're worse at the LT position though, and that's what is really affecting us.

This. Also, WTF is going on here?, we had one bad game and all of a sudden our offense is possibly worse than last year? GTFO

JJ and JL were senior QB's both with a lot of big game experience. It's not fair to compare Mett to those guys at this point in the season.

Last year after 4 games LSU was ranked 98th in passing offense with 179 yards per game and a pass efficiency rating of 148.

This year, after 4 games LSU is ranked 98th in passing offense with 195 yards per game and a pass efficiency rating of 145.

I think eventually, the offense will be better. I miss having a QB that can run and gain a first down without looking awkard.
The OL will get it figured out. There is too much talent not to.
Last year, the QB's didn't turn the ball over. This year, the QB has given it away 3 times right at the goal line. This will improve...but at THIS MOMENT, it is a problem.

I have a simple question--------

How many more threads of this shite until saturday? Don't get me wrong very intertaning but in the dictionary in the "phrases section"(I made that up for you dummies) next to "beating a dead horse" the definition reads: just go on tigerdroppings.com after a close win/loss

BTW: Flame On

I think it was a more mature offense under JL, not so under JJ, although his running skills were an asset. What we've got is a talented but not seasoned starting QB. Can the team jell under his leadership learning curve? And can the coaches help coach him through the rough spots as this season progresses? Those are our real questions.

No, and the potential for the 2012 offense is significantly higher than it was for the 2011 offense. We lost our preseason All-American LT, and that hurts, but I am fully confident that JD can fill in there throughout the season. If there was a better option, we would see it. All we need to do is clean things up a bit and we will be fine.

With JL LSU was 9-0 and ranked # 1.

With JJ we lost in the NC game.......

wait til the season is over.......I know I like this team much better than last years.

2012 has 368yds more total O, but the '11 team faced top 20 foes 3 of 4 games.
I think the jury will deliberate until the end of 4th at the swamp.

We had a better LT and a great deep threat #1 WR. That being said, We are seeing throws out of Mett that we havn't seen in 4 years.
