Does anybody know where I can view the play that Jarvis Landry was called for holding? I think it was in the third quarter, but honestly don't remember. It was a run to the ride side of the line and he was about ten yards down the field if I recall correctly.

Thanks

If I'm thinking of the same play it absolutely wasn't holding.

All I know is that it was a pretty lame call.

The DB's shoulder pad came out of his jersey. They are going to call that every time if it was a hold or not...

I would have to hear the explaination, cause when they replayed it during the game, it looked fairly clean. It definately wasn't a "no doubter". May just be where his hands were, but need to see again.

Landry tugged a jersey for a split second. By definition, it was holding. A little nit picky but justifiable.

I know exactly what play you are talking about. IMO, I thought it was a great block and undeserving of a flag. If anything, the defender is the one that engaged the hold and should have been called for holding.

That's the kind of hold that doesn't need to be called, but because they are isolated in space, the refs are more prone to see (and call) that one.

This, but it was picky. Shep can't catch a break.

How's about the illegal procedure on Clement??

Was it cuz he stood up after all the pointing on the other side of the line??

I also wasn't impressed with the personal foul call after our interception....IMO, we were blocking for the INT return and that was a very weak personal foul call and was only called because it was the QB getting blocked.

When in doubt, pull the flag out.

The holding was a BS call. As soon as the DB started to break free, Landry released him so his hands wouldn't be outside. You could see him protesting that very point when the camera zoomed in on him after the call. If he had continued to hold on, it would have been a good call.

I hear/read this a lot, but if there's one thing I've learned from watching football for years and years is that there's NOTHING that refs call "every time".

yes, he blew that one. I guess he thought he was on defense pointing out a false start. What he should have done is plowed the guy that jumped in front of him when he jumped...
