IT BEGINS.

If he's going in the 1st, we have no 1st rd pick.

He projects as an OLB supposedly. Give me Montgomery.
Posted on 9/23/12 at 10:39 pm to Tigerdew
Or was that a 2nd round pick.. Don't quote me on that
Posted on 9/23/12 at 10:40 pm to primemover225
We have a 1st and have the possibility of getting the 2nd back

Everyone who wants Mingo knows nothing about schemes. He projects as a 34 OLB. Sam Montgomery would be a better selection.

I thought both Sam and Mingo were projected to be OLB in 3-4 Defense. Or did they project Sam to be a hybrid?

mingo is too small to be a de in the nfl, he'll likely be a olb

Mingo's built a lot like a young Jevon Kearse..it's really not out of the question that he could put on more weight.
Either way, though, I think Sam Montgomery is better.

I just want a game changing defender. I dont care if he's from Savannah freaking state. We just need someone to make an impact on defense

i don't know about this one, brian….. he was 205 lbs. starting out, and now he's up to 245 lbs….. i don't know exactly how much more room for growth he would have exactly, but it doesn't matter really, unless we change schemes altogether….. in college he can play DE, because he's lighting fast and not many T's can block him because of his speed…. in the NFL, that would be a different story…. he's not gonna be a DE in the NFL, at least not an every down DE…. he could be the next Demarcus Ware, however, in a 3-4 alignment….

I think he's probably a 34 linebacker too. I'm just saying. Jevon Kearse was about 210 pounds when he got to florida and ended up playing in the NFL around 260

if we go 0-4 or 0-5, i say tank it. it pains me to say it but this team isnt winning shite this year. i didnt think losing the coach would be this catastrophic but im at a loss of words at how bad this team is

Suck for Mingo? Why? they're not going to start him infront of Will Smith or Cameron Jordan just because... JG is a better pass rusher than both but he isn't starting. It's worthless
