You're dumber than a stupid arse pile of shite!!! The whole team is playing bad, including Brees. But I'm guessing you want one of these guys back.

This isn't like Madden where you can turn off the salary cap. Nicks contract would have been so big that we would have lost Drew or Colston.

Besides, Grubbs isn't the problem. Strief and Bushrod are. Stop blaming Brees for the OL.

Zach Strief & Jermod Bushrod is laughing his way to the bank.

FIFY

Those two are collecting paychecks without showing up. I don't give a frick how good a QB is, they won't have much success getting as pressure as Drew has this season.

fricking Idiot. Without Drew, this offense is even worse.

Seems to me like the Saints spent ALL their money on Brees and had to let all the other FAs go.

Yea, cause we could have signed all those guys with the couple of extra million he got then we originally offered.

Makes sense.

Brees is too much of a winner to do something like that. Maybe that is your work ethic, but definitely not his. Nice try TROLL....

He cares just as much as he used too. Look I'm not real happy with his performance thus far either, but you have to look at all the factors.

Brees is only one man, he can't pass, block, catch passes, and make tackles on defense. Everything is getting put on him, and he is having to press.

Is some of this on Drew, absolutely! But to say that he doesn't care as much is asinine

Is everyone still going to be singing Brees' praises when we cannot keep Jimmy Graham, Mark Ingram, Pierre Thomas, etc because there is no cap room.

Just look at the history of NFL players who get their big pay day - a fair number of them check out. Maybe he actually cares but he sure does not act like it.

Maybe the OL is playing shitty and is not protecting him. Then again maybe there is not enough money under the cap to keep him protected.

He sure acted like he was THE team in the off season, didn't he?

First off, and it's the same line as last year minus Carl nicks. Grubbs is a downgrade from him but not that much of one. The line just isn't performing, especially tackles. And they are could get rid of Ingram now. Why would we wanna resign him? Isn't Pierre locked up for a few more years? After that he will be older and might not be worth signing anyway. I assure you they will resign Jimmy Graham. They aren't going to let one of the most unique and best players at his position go.

Are teams supposed to mortgage their future on guys whose best years are clearly behind them?

That team is awful. No awful team has any business paying one player that much money.

I don't blame Brees. He is running for his life. Almost to Archie Manning proportions. This year may be a wash, but I still feel good about the future outside this year.

Can't believe these ignorant pricks are still putting the blame on Brees.

Tell me, what should we instead have done with Brees' money? I'll wait.

Now he doesn't give a shite.

this certainly is NOT the case, but he does deserve a hearty helping of the blame that is going around…. as a leader, he has to be accountable for his actions and momentum (and essentially game) killing turnovers 3 straight weeks is one of the many things hurting this team right now…

can it be turned around? yeah…. will it? doubtful, and that pains me to say it, trust me, and as much as i'm a "window of opportunity is closing" guy, this doesn't have to be a wasted season…. play the younger guys, get them time on the field, get a high draft pick, draft a DEFENSIVE player (no BPA this year, sorry….), and come back with your hair on fire next season….

I sure am glad he held the team hostage for a few months until they paid him 10000000000000000000000000000000 dollars to be a mediocre QB.

I'm sure that whole process really helped put this wonderful looking product I watch every Sunday on the field.

Damn! The rate of retardation must be worse than I thought. chRixis is looking like a completely rational poster and I agree with half of what he said.

Their may be some truth to your theory. IMO Brees and the other players didn't put the time and effort in the offseason. With out Payton there to lead them they got lazy and think they can just show up on Sundays and win. Saints are fat and lazy. Living off the past. They know theyhave a free pass this year because ofi bounty gate. These games were liost in the offseason IMO
