My camp is on a canal off the Blood River and got just enough water to ruin the flooring and insulation. It is an older mobile home that the previous owner put OSB over the original particleboard.

My plan is to remove both OSB and original sub, put down vapor barrier, 3/4 T&G
plywood, unfaced insulation, then use either tarpaper or house wrap to seal the bottom.

Would you anything different?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Go to a mobile home supply store. They make a black plastic barrier for underneath. You can get it the length and width you want. I was able to pull the whole length under a 12x65 trailer without cutting it. Just slid it on top of the metal supports after I redid the insulation. Stapled the edges.

Thanks, I will check into it.

What type insulation did you use, faced, unfaced, or encapsulated? I am putting it between the floor joists. The old insulation was a blanket that was stapled under the joists on the edge and hung under the beams in the middle.

Does faced mean it has the paper backing on one side? That's what I used.

Yes. The paper is a vapor barrier and since I am putting in a plastic vb under the new subfloor, I am going with unfaced so I won't have two vb's that could trap moisture in-between.
