2002: LSU 6-1; Outscored opponents 229-77, Loses @ Auburn 31-7
2004: LSU 2-0; Outscored opponents 75-21, Loses @ Auburn 10-9!
2006: LSU 2-0; Outscored opponents 90-6, Loses @ Auburn 7-3!
2008: LSU 2-0; Outscored opponents 82-16, Wins @ Auburn 26-21!
2010: LSU 7-0; Outscored opponents 187-101, Loses @ Auburn 24-17!

2011: LSU 2-0; Outscored opponents 89-30, Wins @ MState 19-6 in SEC opener on the road. Score was 9-6 in the fourth Quarter until Lee hits Randle around the 11 min mark.

Couple things:

1. MState finished 6-6 last year.
2. LSU is 2-4 @ Auburn since 2002 - including last night's win.
3. Unlike MState, AU is a much bigger rivalry with a deep history of barn burners @ Jordan Hare.
4. The turnovers, calls, dropped passes etc. are historically consistent @ AU.

...but this time, we WON!

Nicely done. Lots of freshman seeing real football for the first time last night. Not to mention in those other years our starting LT was playing I think

Like my wife always says," there is just something evil about playing @ AU".

Also note in years 04, 06, 08, 12; Auburn was the SEC opener ON THE ROAD, and LSU has been outscored 53-50! That's in 4 games! For an average score of

13.2 - 12.5!

A little more History:

LSU is 4-1 @ Alabama since 2002 compared to 2-4 @ Auburn.

We won but like the end of last year this team got exposed. Think about UL Monroe running this Auburn team up and down the field. There are things to be concerned about. If not corrected these things will catch up with us like last year. Auburn is a bad football team.

In the movie Exodus, one character defends the creation of Israel by saying "given your history, let some injustice work against someone else for a change."

For once, let a close game at Auburn with bad calls and the like go against auburn for once when we play them.

I thought last night had the feel of the MSU game last year

So it took a 13-0 record to finally "get exposed"?

It does seem that way playing @ AU. What's important is that we won.
