Ive never been to a game there, and hear it is challenging in
many ways.
I'll be staying in Jacksonville. Any advice on how early to get there, what parking is like etc.
Thanks in advance.

How much money are you willing to spend? Want to keep it cheap?

we stayed in Jacksonville in 08 (still trying to get that rapage out of my mind ) and we had problems
the drive in was easy enough, and we just parked at the first open lot and it was $10 or $15
the campus is very large so you will doing a lot of walking no matter what, but there were plenty of lots

Basically treat it as going to game in TS from N.O. about same distance and time from J'ville to UF campus. Also, parking similar but have always found a spot in the surounding nieghborhood and just walk it maybe 1/2 mile or so. Been there a few times like other posters if you go looking for trouble you can usually find it as in BR, Auburn, Tuscaloosa, etc. but never actually witnessed any. 2010 there was a jerk in the stands near us very drunk and was a bit unruly but ignored him and we won anyway!

Parking is easier than parking at LSU

Parking is not bad. you should be able to park on campus b/c florida fans don't tailgate and showup only about 2 hours before the game. I parked along Univ blvd across from The Swamp(the bar) each year

Agee completely with jingle...arrive at a decent time and there will be a good number of folks allowing folks to pay a bit to park in their yards on the way in....
Act civil and you won't have any trouble....drinking is ok, but be aware of where campus boundaries are and don't take a step outside of campus or you may be arrested...
I enjoyed my trip and would go back..

this. their cops are looking for trouble so the second you do anything out of line, or step somewhere with a beer in your hand they will pounce
they also have a "no drinking games" rule and shut down our beer bong and funnels multiple times

I parked in front of frat row on the side of the street and my truck got egged
I dont suggest parking there. It is free though

Tiger1014,
Very clever, how'd you come up with that?
You, sir, are an a-hole.
To everyone else, thanks for the solid info.

Best advice is to park in your driveway at home or a local bar in said hometown because Gainesville is terrible. Hope you have a better time than I did and geaux tigers

Lee, I live in Jax and will be going as well. There is a neighborhood across from the stadium that has a vacant corner lot that a lot of LSU fans park in ($40 I think). I'll be in there. It is a nice spot and a short walk from the stadium. Drive slow going through the towns on your way from Jax.

if your not going to tailgate park at the hospital (Shands) and walk. it's about a quarter mile and you will be on the drive to get out of town.
