Was having this discussion with some friends that way to many movies are getting rehashed....Than came the where will Hollywood stop comment and it got us thinking....

What are some movies that just simply can not be remade...

Lots of ideas we thrown around.. and the only one We could honestly agree on at the moment was

For obvious reasons...

That's the first movie that came to mind when I saw the thread title.

A movie I mentioned yesterday in the hot actress Armageddon thread is another - Blame it on Rio. There's no way they'd remake a movie about a 40+ year old man screwing a 16 year old.

I could see where no one would want to touch that..

They are already rebooting Transformers.

I've thought about Blazing Saddles. I wonder if today's generation would even get it. Would they even laugh?

Private Lessons.

In the same line of thinking as Blame It On Rio. Older broad with an even younger boy than the chick in Rio.

No, they would take it as extremely racist... As they probably do the current film...

Funny thing is Richard Pryor wrote a lot of the racist part of the movie

I like it... I think if they tried to redo it ..it would become some souless romantic gagmewithaspoon comedy and totally ruin the essence of the original film
