They're playing to their crowd. They know exactly what they are doing. They are putting pressure on the refs to get back to table covertly.

How is covering a glaring problem making news? Anybody that just watched the Monday night game saw that the back up refs are horrible.

I'm usually on team "frick ESPN". Part of me actually expected them to ignore it because the NFL = $$$. But this is one time they are actually doing the right thing.

ESPN hates replacement refs.

Everyone hates replacement refs.

ESPN is everyone.

ESPN hates LSU.

Everyone hates LSU.

They definitely need to cover how bad the refs have been, but does anyone else think they've been a little unfair to the replacement refs? Again I agree the replacements are terrible, but They show these guys little to no respect at all and arent pulling any punches when calling these guys out. They never did that kind of thing to the real refs even when they obviously blew an easy call.

While I'll agree about some calls, the replacement refs bad calls are arguably way more consistent than the normal refs.

Also it's been noted that little to no players respect the replacements, and take advantage of their seemingly complacent attitudes toward fighting and "pushing" the limits of the refs' penalizing decisions. Sunday was terrible for sportsmanship and ref control of the game.

Definitely, I'm just saying usually the media would show more respect to referees.

The right thing would be talking about how badly the NFL and Ref's need to get their deal done, all it seems like they're doing is roasting some guys who were in a no win situation in the first place.
