I figure this may be a fun thing to post to let everyone on the board show you're a true music aficionado.

Here are my 2 basses:

Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe:

Leo Quan Badass II Bridge
Seymour Duncan Pro Active pickups
Fender 60s Reissue Jazz Bass neck
Hipshot knobs
Hipshot Tuners
Black Pearl Pickguard
Currently wearing DR Neon Orange strings

Fender Precision Bass Deluxe (60th anni):

Leo Quan Badass II Bridge
Seymour Duncan P/J Quarter Pound pickups
Hipshot Knobs
Hipshot tuners
Currently wearing DR Neon Yellow strings

So, post your axe, drum kit, brasswind, woodwind, keyboard, triangle, tuba, etc. Let's get this thing going...

epi dot deluxe

just started playing a year ago so this was my first purchase...not an OT balla, but this thing has served me well so far in my learning process and I love it

also playing this 220s my friend sold me for cheap after he upgraded...its got a surprisingly nice sound and a good low action (compared to the cheap POS I was playing before it)

I'm saving up to buy a Taylor in the near future, can't wait until I get it

ETA: those basses are sick

What's the hardest 3 years of a bass player's life?

Second grade.

Sweet Bacher! I've been a fan of them, I just hate when people who play them insist on excessive use of a pick. I'm of the "I will never play bass with a pick for as long as I live" crowd.

And Eighteen, everyone has to start somewhere. It seems like you're on the fast track and a higher end Epi is a good place to start. Keep it rollin...

I play a few instruments and here are a few of my babez

Excuse the poor lighting conditions but between the natural finish, emerald green flametop, ocean blue quilttop, and cream white finishes...each is beautiful in their own way and dare I say stunning in person.

I also have a couple basses, keys, and a pretty fricking rad drumset.

Thanks man, your basses are pretty bad arse!

I'm looking at getting a decent P or Jazz bass to record with.

I strongly recommend both of these. But keep in mind both of these are active and you get a good dose of string noise. You get a ton of control over your sound with the 3-band EQ, which is the main reason I bought them. I hate the volume-volume-tone or the volume-tone-tone of most passive instruments.

But if you're looking for just a solid warm sound no matter what string you're playing, I think a standard P-bass will suit you just fine. You don't necessarily need to get a deluxe or an American if you'll only be recording with it.

Beautiful mandolin, Klein!

I don't usually venture away from the OB but i think i fit in this thread. I have a few 6 strings:
From favorite:
Taylor GS8 w/expression
Gibson Les Paul Studio (smartwood)
1967 Gibson LG-0 (pretty sure, may be an LG-1)
Fender deluxe player's strat (blonde w/ tortoise pg and gold hardware)
Taylor 110
Martin 000X1

Don't have any pics on me but they're all off the shelf with the exception of the LG which is in pretty bad shape from previous owner not realizing what they had.

BIG fan of these two, especially that Strat Deluxe. Then again I guess I'm just a Fender guy if you haven't noticed... . But I like the versatility it gives you with that bridge humbucker.

Unfortunately I had to have the bridge replaced on the Gibson. It was the old adjustable type and the glue was gone and just the 2 screws were holding it down. It was also cracked. Needless to say it didn't hold a tune. Stan Hebert in Hammond put the closest to the original he could but it's still not original. About 50% of the binding is also cracked or missing.
