We very well could still win the division, something to the tune of 9-7/8-8 AFC West type record. So long as we do well within the division, like 4-2, and our divisional opponents lose to the top tier teams on their schedules.

That said if we don't win the division should we be rooting for those 2 teams to roll through the NFC and beat Detroit/Chicago? They both play Detroit, Chicago, and the Giants as well. The NFC East looks like they will all steal games from one another, and the NFC East plays the AFC North who has Baltimore/Steelers/Cincy who can beat them, and they play Houston who could beat them all as well.

The Wild Card teams will all be dropping games within their divisions, and it looks like a 9-7 record could get you in the playoffs.

I hope everyone goes 8-8.

I hope the Panthers Bucs and Falcons now go 1-15

I haven't seen any teams look dominant yet this season which is why I see no reason to panic.

49ers look like the clear front runner to me, they are stacked on both sides

Which is good for us if they can run through the NFC North along with GB that division will take care of itself. Same with the NFC East, they will all beat up on one another.

A 9-7 Wild Card isn't out the realm of possibilities.

Most definitively not, I do think the division is looking out of the question though. We will see after Atlanta plays Denver tomorrow.

On another note 9-7 might not be good enough to get into the NFC wild card spot this year. NFC looks stackeddddd.

When we finally win a single game, I'll start giving a shite what the rest of the league is up to.

Which is what makes it easier for NFC teams to lose games.

San Fran and Green Bay will roll through the NFC. Houston could as well.

The NFC North and East will lose to one another. The AFC North could beat up on the NFC East as well.

The Saints just can't afford to struggle in the Division. Got to sweep Tampa, and split with Carolina. Hopefully we can sweep Atlanta, but a split isn't the end of the world either.

Also I personally see the East getting two in as well, statistically I think they have about a 65/75% chance. It looks like the NFC South is going to beat up each other this year, really no teams looks that bad and Tampa should be 2-0 if it wasn't for some BS calls.

Houston plays all of the NFC East which could give them all one more additional loss. Which we most certainly could use.

The same can be said for the NFC East. Giants and Cowboys capable of beating one another, and the Eagles as well. Those three teams could all have 2 or more Divisional losses. The Redskins can steal a game or two from those teams as well, they have talent that is figuring out how to play with one another.

I really don't know where you are getting this from, also it doesn't matter what the Texans record is there in the AFC.

Replace East and North. How is it tough to understand that something close to a guaranteed loss for Chicago, and Detroit whom we could be battling with for a Wild Card spot doesn't matter? Going against Houston it's one more L for them.

Never did I mention Houston's record. The post was pretty clear about having the NFC North & East losing games.

Is it the road or just out west? We could be playing in ATL or at the NFC East division winner.
