Ronald Martin or Craig Loston

Loston may be the better tackler, but i think Martin had a little bit quicker break on the ball. Jalen Mills was definitely helping out Martin last night though

Martin isn't ready mentally. He has it physically but not mental. He made two great plays but he also completely blew two coverage assignments that led to TDs. I'm going to give LOSTon a pass since it's obvious he been hurt all year. We'll see what he can do when he's healthy. If that ever happens...

Simon definitely bit on the fake but Martin was nowhere to be found over the top.

Simon had an awful game

Both. Both will be needed. LSU is superior because of our depth and versatility.

Yea, Simon just completely left his man. It was awful. As soon as the back turned upfield simon went after him instead of letting the LBr cover him.

so it's his fault that simon got burned?

It is partially since the safety is supposed to be over the top in case Simon bites on the fake.

Its not like that is a safety's responsibility on every play

Martin a star in the making. Loston not so much

speaking of DBs, what the hell was wrong with Reid last night? He got ran over twice. Looked like he didnt even want to be out there.

Martin.
Loston simply just wants to be a big hitter and doesn't always seemed to be concerned as to what else is going on. I don't see Loston making those 2 interceptions last night. I don't think he would have even been aware that the ball was tipped. Nevertheless, he likely would have hammered the WR. Its not that Loston is a bad player by any means, but it was just a matter of time before we saw another Karnell Hatcher type of moment from him.
