They are playing William and Mary right now and the Towson game should have never been scheduled by LSU. It will be a bloodbath.

It'll be a great game for our starters to get some rest and to get a ton of our backups game experience.

I haven't heard of them until LSU scheduled them.

See Idaho.
See Auburn.
Then see Towson.

The one positive thing (in reference to the starters resting) is that Florida has a bye the same day we play Towson so the Tigers should be well rested for 6 Oct 12.

I'm assuming you have a contingency plan. I mean a lot of people can point out problems, but very few can provide solutions.

TOWSON, Md. - The Tiger football team will be playing one of the most historically-successful major college football programs in the nation when the Tigers visit Louisiana State University on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, it has been announced by Director of Athletics Mike Waddell.

"One of the ways that we will be able to help lift our football program upward is through scheduling marquee match-ups that expand our brand nationally," said Coach Rob Ambrose. "To play a perennial national contender is just another building block in the foundation being laid for the future."

"We could have played another FBS opponent, but we felt the LSU option gave us the opportunity to give our student-athletes a once in a lifetime opportunity. The balance of playing a BCS, a FBS, and a FCS game for our three non-CAA matchups is something that we may do from time to time, but not on a regular basis."

Yes a once and a lifetime for the opportunity for a major arse whipping.

according to some on the rant, the offense should pull out all the stops, throw it deep, run all the trick plays, and practice everything in "the playbook" for Towson.

oh yeah and beat them 112 to -5

Yea I know. I get what you are saying. So why not Nicholls? They had a bye this particular week and they would have got paid, kept the money in state and talent wise would not have been that different. Nicholls played Oregon St why not Louisiana State? By no means is this a good solution, just a thought.
