Not sure how many HK fans there are but one of the member of HKPro forums organized a group buy for a customized HK45c in FDE (Flat Dark Earth)

I have been mulling this over for months and ended up buying one but the cutoff is Oct 1st.
It is a kick arse deal for a limited run HK at $885 with 3 mags ($925 if using CC).

I think the cutoff point is 500 guns.

Package:
-HK45c FDE w/HKPRO engraving color matched to the rest of the markings.
-V1 DA/SA safety/decock
-3 8 round mags ***Non matching floor plates. They will be stock black with the pinkie extension.
-Meprolight night sights
-Standard Black Clam shell HK logo case. $855.00 Plus CC fees if not using cash, and ($30) shipping.

They already have over 300 signed up.
The project is a go regardless but the sign up is limited to 500 iirc.

I didn't read the links. I thought you were trying to get 500 people from this thread.

Hell no!
I don't have time to organize anything.
They started this back in May and I have been watching it closely. After saying I wasn't going to give in for months I ended up relenting.

That's a good looking piece. I would rather put that 900 with another 900 and build a nice 1911

Guys, if you haven't owned an HK before, JUMP ON THIS! They are amazing guns. From an owner of a P30 and an HK45, take my word. They are sweet shooters and the ergos are second to none. You will not regret it.

They are gun snob (KR and myself) approved

Even though they are usually overpriced, I'll give the nod here as well.

Typically they are pretty damn pricey, but given the "wholesale" deal and the fact that it's a two-tone gun, I think it looks pretty good.

I shot an HK 9c this week and it was a good shooter. Ergos are pretty good, the SA trigger was pretty good, and the sights were solid.

So, I'm no HK fanatic or fanboy yet, but so far my first impression is solid.

Carson + KingRanch + Bapple =

MUST BUY

Bapple, the ergos on the HK45, P30, and P2000 lines (newer) are light years ahead of the USP lines. Definitely try one out. If you are in BR, you can borrow one of mine.

I'd love to go out to Sherburne with some of the OB dudes one day. I have some steel targets that I shoot out there. We could turn it into a fun match up.

And thanks for the offer! To lend one of your HK babies to a fellow shooter is a high honor!

I'll tell you this too; I shot an HK P7 before and it blew me away. I thought the grip looked stupid and would be awkward to handle. Boy was I wrong. It points naturally, the sights are clear with a big rear notch, the trigger has no grit, and the fixed barrel allows for very smooth recoil. Even though your P30 is a hammer fired gun without the squeeze grip, I bet it is another smooth HK product.

Cheers, bro.

Same here, bro. I think it'd be a blast.

I need to order some bullets and get to the reloading bench. Once step 1 is taken care of, we'll move on to the good stuff.

The group order is all being doing with the V1 DA/SA with a the safety decocker.

After getting it, you can either send it back to get the LEM aftermarket or just order the kit which is what I am going to do.

The guy organizing has been putting our Youtube videos wit updates all along the way and he posted his recent update yesterday.

Only 15 days left.

There is only a week left to get in on this Group Buy. If payments are mailed, you will need to mail them probably today or tomorrow to get there by Saturday otherwise you will need to overnight or pay by Credit Card.

I love me some hk's, have myself a nice selection. Would jump on it if it were the HK 45 with ergonomic grip. Can't get past that baby shite tan either. Love the guns but damn that's ugly.
