Because of school and work haven't gotten to scout anywhere but going hunt my lease near loureville Saturday and not sure how it will be. Thinking about possibly hunting Spanish lake but never been. Any advice or has anyone in that area even seen teal out there?

Thanks for any help and best of luck to everyone in their opening day hunts tomorrow

I was hoping you weren't talking about the Ascension/Iberville Spanish Lake.

Never been to the one out that way.

I've hunted that area years ago. Concentrate your efforts there, and don't waste your time in Spanish Lake.

You around Walet land?

There were plenty of flooded fields back that way that bordered deeper crawfish ponds back in the day that I hunted there, 25 yrs ago or so.

there's one past Natchitoches too. Or at least used to be one, now is all CRP that floods, and part of Cane River NWR.
