UCLA and QB commit Eddie Printz have parted ways. Gonna be a lot of Rettig/UCLA noise. Not saying to be concerned but just to be prepared for the constant talk.

Well that sucks...hopefully he sticks to his commitment..in the interview posted yesterday, it seems as if he is happy to attend LSU

UCLA's QB is a redshirt Freshmen, he will be starting for 3 more years.

Our starting QB is a redshirt Junior, that can possibly leave after this year, but will likely stay one more.

Rettig isn't an idiot, he knows what benefits him more..and he loves Kragthorpe

My only concern is the distance.

Agree with your premise but these kids don't fear the players already on campus. They do fear/think about kids that come into the class with them at their position. UCLA doesn't have another QB coming in to compete, we do. Again, I'm not saying it's anything to worry about and I'm sure Rettig knew this was happening before it became public, yet he still said he's 100% LSU. In no way do I believe it's a coincidence that UCLA happens to start pressing for Rettig and then their commit is gone. I'm sure they made sure to note that in their conversations with Rettig.

Just saying that the rumors and talk will be out there and am trying to hedge off the panic threads on here.

They can talk all they want

It's clear to see Rettig is all LSU, no reason to rustle your jimmies on this one

Him and Smith are close, he loves LSU football - He's probably one of our most solid commits

Have to agree with Sunny. Hayden knows the opportunity he has at LSU. Just because Mora is starting 2-0 doesn't mean anything.

I hate to sound callous but if Hayden Rettig wants to play for a middle of the pack Pac-12 team instead of competing for national titles and being on national TV every week, it's not a loss.

That being said, based on what I have heard and read about this kid, he is the type of kid who wants to compete for national titles and won't pass up this opportunity.

So I'm not worried.

Well, krags could very well develop mettenburger into a first round pick. Huge selling point. Also, Better recievers, better oline, better league.

With Texas dropping RSJ, the #1 WR might be trending a little more to LSU, which can't hurt in keeping Rettig committed.

1. Early enrollee. UCLA way behind in the game.
2. Chance for immediate playing time if Mett goes pro.
3. Distance, really? Brother plays for Boston College. Cheaper, shorter air trips home from BR and NO.

He could join Cassius Marsh. Any public LSU shout outs are a definite sign

Everyone here know that he skipped going to the UCLA Nebraska game to watch LSU/Washington, right?
