I agree...at least we know for a fact that we have a pair of really good prospects coming aboard. I hope they can transition from HS to college seemlessly and we do a good job of developing them. This will only help our recruiting when it comes to big time WR prospects. Mett is helping prove that as we speak.

I hope CLM completely takes the leash off of Mett against Auburn in the 1st half. I know if we get a big lead we will run the entire 2nd half, so i hope he throws 25 times in the 1st half

Dude we play idaho next game. Let's hope we open it up a little that game. I love les though. He alway's give those speeches about airing it out.
Then the game starts and it's the same old tigers . The day we can't run our opponent into the ground is the day we air it out more. Until then enjoy the boring beatdowns.

Miles kind of took the leash off of Jarrett Lee in the 2011 Auburn game.

Forty-two and 46 yard play action TD's to Randle in the second quarter. In my mind that game was the blue print for LSU being successful. Kill them with the running game to set up the play action pass. Get far enough ahead and then keep the ball away from the other team's offense by feeding the running backs down after down.

QB's went 16 of 23 for 219 yards and three TD's.
Running backs had 36 carries for 174 yards and two TD's. Defense had a TD. ST's got one FG.

rettig got 14 td's that's awesome, but i think jennings is better overall.

Amen to that! looks like we've turned a corner, recruiting wise. Bad QB play and average LB play seem to be things of the past.

I'm the exact opposite. I like Rettig more overall. Not a knock on Jennings because I like him as well but Rettig is very similar in mentality to the kid we have currently playing QB right now. I prefer my QBs being confident in their abilities, even if sometimes to a fault. Rettig has that gunslinger in him and superior physical tools to Jennings. That said I wouldn't be suprised if Jennings beat him out with his moxy.

Both are great QBs in their own ways but I'm partial to QBs with mobility (Jennings in this case).

It's hard to choose because the competition is different in GA and CA...I can't wait to get them both on campus so that they can compete against each other. I'm sure Rivers/Randall will have something to say about that for at least 2-3 more years...but it will definitely be interesting

Jennings has that deep competitive drive and innate ability to step up to his competition. We don't know that about Rettig because he hasn't been anywhere and competed against the best in the country. Jennings is just a gamer and one of those guys that has something inside that you can't explain. Moxy

to anyone liking Jennings over Rettig, just look at our history with pocket passers.

i happen to prefer a pocket passer, and so does the NFL, and so does National Champions in general.

in other words, anyone who would prefer a more mobile QB over a better passing QB in our PRO STYLE offense is dumb.

just saying.

I generally prefer a more mobile QB than a pocket passer...for the reason of being able to generate something with the legs if nothing is there....in this case, I am not ready to say I like one over the other...the level of play at their respective schools are totally different so its hard to judge...the only thing I have seen was Jennings compete against the best high school senior QBs in the nation and he did really good. I will hold my judgement until they get on campus and compete with one another
