Been wanting to experiment with Linux and planning on using the build for streaming movies and possibly my source of TV.

Anyone have any good information on how to go about this? Planning on running Ubuntu.

I do not but I can't imagine it would be too difficult...it's probably largely GUI driven and user friendly like Ubuntu.

But...I'm a linux admin so any distro is pretty straightforward to me

My only experience was with a Fedora build in 07 in which my laptop became a glorified typewriter because I could never get the NIC card to work.
