Just now in Mike and Mike it was reported from Ginsberg, Vilmas lawyer, that Vilma is willing to sit with Goodell to see if they can work something out or just to talk things over

I doubt this, but I hope he brings up Payton's suspension somehow

How does being suspended vs PUP list affect his pay/contract?

If he is suspended he gets nothing, correct?

PUP he gets ??????

there's that, plus if he's suspended, he won't have access to the team trainers, the facilities, etc.

The real difference between suspended and PUP, other than the money, is that he can now work out and rehab at the Saints facility and attend meetings and practices. He just can't participate physically. Once he is suspended he is allowed no contact with the team or it's training staff.

Florio catches some heat but one thing he is very good on are these legal wranglings. He is a lawyer by trade that transitioned to football commentary.

And, again, what evidence do you produce to prove you did not do something?

Vilma knows his chances took a hit with the recent appeals ruling. It's less likely the judge will block a new suspension which is undoubtedly coming.

Since when is the burden of proof on the accused?

This would work well for the team, but would Vilma want to forego 5 weeks of pay?

I have a feeling unless it's cut to 2 or less than there will be no deal.

"The NFL sent a letter to the NFL Players Association on Monday setting a close-of-business deadline Tuesday for the players to provide any additional information to support their case in this matter."

Sounds to me like RG wants them to bring something to the table besides a denial.
