A month or so ago I bought a Ruger LC9 and I love the gun but it prints while iwb T shirt tucked in. Normally it's not a problem cause everybody that knows me knows I am toting. I always have a pistol on me and a rifle in the truck on the front seat but I was at a ball game the other night and felt kind of uneasy. With my keltec I never had this problem. I always wear jeans and was wondering your opinion on ankle holsters until the weather cools off? Any brand you like?

not a big fan of ankle holsters, not a very easy way to draw your weapon

I carry my CC weapon behind my wallet, no need for a holster

I don't know if my wallet is fuller than yours or I wear tighter britches but it won't fit there

Probably fuller than mine, I remain broke at all times

I just find it easier to do that than having to worry about a holster

I know what you mean I farm so on paper I am baller status but my billfold and wife say otherwise. I carried the keltec in a remora and loved it so thats what I got for this gun but it just prints too much.

How about just untucking your shirt?

Eminently logical -- and it works.

I don't know anyone who regularly carries concealed using an ankle holster for their primary gun. It may work for the OP, but there's no way to know until you actually wear it while you engage in your everyday activities.

A good holster, and a good gun belt, and a semi-loose fitting, dark (or patterned) shirt with shirttail out suffices for most -- OWB or IWB.

Once cooler weather gets here, everybody gets to use an OWB holster under a jacket, vest or parka.

I can't stand to not have my shirt tucked in. I guess was raised to have your shirt tucked and hat off when you went in the house. So un tucking is not an option

Damn that's hard core bro. You never go anywhere with your shirt untucked

What about t-shirts and hot summer days. You always tuck even when wearing shorts? I'd be miserable.

I haven't wore shorts in years (and have the white legs to prove it). Nothing but wranglers and t shirt tucked in.

Welcome to the dilemma we all face upon CC. Weather dictates your dress style, your dress style dictates you carry method. Only you can settle on a preferred method.

Good luck.

Well I definately don't have your problem. I usually wear a shirt untucked and shorts pretty much every day during the summer. Still go untucked in the winter just with jeans.

I do use an ankle holster for when I am dressing up or going to church.

Maybe look into some of the belly band holsters or the 5.11 undershirts with the sewn in gun pockets.

Dammit boy, are you me? That's pretty much my everyday outfit. I try to switch it up by alternating belt buckles.

Everybody has choices.

You choose to tuck in your shirttail -- others choose to conceal their preferred self-defense handgun.

If untucking is not an option, you may have to accept a slight downgrade in caliber for extra concealment...

That's right...

I'm gonna say the dreaded 100x3 + 80

Since you're used to the LC9, get an LCP. Pocket carry that slut when you think you may print. It may be a bit smaller but it is 100 times more comfortable. It's like carrying an extra wallet or cell phone...

Carry on...

I have the LC9 but have never had any problems like the OP described. I have a custom fit pocket holster that came with the laser I put on it and doesnt look like a gun in the pocket.

You can try the LCP but it was too small for my hands.

I carry a 380 in a pocket holster for such occasions. Works great in cargo pants and loose fitting slacks.

If you can't get over tucking in your shirt, then you're probably going to have to start wearing thicker shirts. Polos or button downs instead of T-shirts. This would probably help with printing. If you can't change the way you dress to carry, then you should change what you carry.
