Christina is the worst "coach"

I won't miss her at all during her hiatus...hopefully it becomes permanent.

I don't get why more people aren't picking Blake to coach them. Didn't they watch last season???

Oh, that's right....it's because he thought Raelynn could actually sing.

I agree. I think Blake and Adam are the best. I could live without the other two easily.

I do like Cee-lo as a judge....but that's mainly b/c he had Juliet last season and she was my fave. He does know what he's talking about....but I agree w/ you. I'd pick Adam if I had a choice....even though it's mainly so I could try getting in his pants.

Finally caught up last night.

The talent is still so much better than last year. That's good, because I had the show on a short leash this season and was willing to bail with the quickness. But it's been pleasantly surprising.

Few things that I can remember.

Cupid is a fricking idiot. Sucks for him too, cuz he can sing pretty well. But yeah, you gotta be smarter than that.

Is it me, or are the backstories getting longer? There was one point in one of the shows that it was something like 27 or 24 minutes into the show, and only 2 people had performed. What the frick, NBC..?

Also, as usual, NBC flies through several people picked. I was sitting there last night thinking that I'm glad Cee Lo will be gone next season, cuz he was just mailing it in most of the time. Half the time, he didn't seem to give a frick about anything or getting people for his team. It'd be he and Adam vying for someone, and Adam would have some long speech about how badly he wants them, and CL would be like "I thought you were awesome." I'd bet something else is going on with CL's life (marital problems, or some shite like that). shite, Blake even made the comment at one point that CL was on his phone the whole time and wasn't paying attention. And I can see that happening 100%.

Christina has toned down the bitch this season, but she still sucks. There have been some GOOD people where she's been the only one who didn't turn. And she hides behind that bullshite of "I know these three are gonna battle it out and I wanted to watch them." What a fricking bitch. That one dude who had the guitar and sang the Al Green song (I think that was him)...she didn't turn around for him. and I was wanting him to dog her so bad for that. But alas, he took the high road. And he's a better man than me, cuz if that happened to me, I'd make sure this happened:
Me: "Christina, you didn't turn around?!?"
Xtina: "I wanted to let these boys battle it out for you."
Me: "Coming into this, I wanted you to turn around and be my coach."
Xtina: "Awwww...I'm sorry, I thought you were great though." *stands up and tries to come on stage to steal my spotlight
Me: "Hahaa, just kidding. I can't fricking stand you, count. Get the frick off my stage. I'm going with Adam...let's win this shite, dude. PEACE.

Also, she said she didn't turn around for one person because she wanted diversity on her team. And my first thought was "You pretty much only turn around for shitty guys and chicks who oversing...what kind of diversity is that shite?"

And I'll keep saying it as long as NBC keeps doing it. Get Carson Daly the frick OUT of the family rooms backstage. He's faking caring if these people get on the show or not. I don't want to see him standing next to families of people who have a lot riding on this and being like "Aw, come on, Christina...PUSH YOUR BUTTON!!!" and then tell the person how awesome they were just because nobody turned around. Also don't need to see him stealing hugs from peoples' kids when they do get picked. Just fricking stop it, dude.

Like I said, the talent is good this year. Don't remember too many of the names, but the Benji dude is good. The Al Green white dude was awesome. The black dude with no training is awesome. The 17 year old chick is good. The baseball game dude was good. And countless others I'm forgetting. Good shite this year.

It's weird this season..it seems like Adam and Blake are the only two who give a frick and are actually trying to convince people to go with their team. Christina and Cee Lo both seem like they're mailing it in. I won't miss either one of them. It'll be cool to have URRsher and Shakira on the show (although I'm not crazy about her just yet).

I caught up last night as well:

- I don't get their decisions to turn around/not turn around sometimes. What was I missing with the first chick on Tuesday night that sang Whitney Houston? She didn't "kill it" but she did sing a damn hard song and did pretty well at it. Then you have a guy come in and sing Wild World and 2 coaches turn in like 10 seconds.

- I also noticed that if Adam or Blake is the first to turn Christina will not push her button no matter what.

- Benji was pretty damn good

- I could really do without the back stories of the people that get kicked off. I get why they do it so we dont know who is going to get picked and who doesnt but that's not that crucial to me. You can tell me every single person that we see will get picked and I'm fine with that. I just want to see their performances

- Is it required that every person on this show has to have gone through some sort of crisis? Good lord.

- Cupid is retarded. I need to distance myself from this song so I am going to sing this song. And he didn't do it that differently because well you really cant.

you got to dvr it. I can watch a 2 hour episode of the voice in like 8 minutes tops.

i'm thinking if they let some of the ones that got got earlier back again, they'll find a way to squeeze in Cupid and the kid with the dead dad. There was one other sad sack story who i cant remember that sounded good but didnt make it too.

And Christina definitely refuses to be the 3rd or 4th one to hit the button. She either wants to be the one who discovered the talent by hitting it early or not hit it all and act like she just didnt like them for her team.

Oh, no doubt. I don't think I've ever watched it live. I just noticed last night that I was FFWDing it and I was at like 27 minutes and the third person hadn't even started singing yet. That's fricking ridiculous.

nothing beats Carson Daly in the green room going "Come on, Blake, you're an idiot! JUST DO IT!" to make the families feel better when their kid sucks.

We watched every back story and coaches' pitches to the contestants on Tuesday's show and still watched it in 35 minutes.

Exactly. I wanted to punch my TV when he bent down to that little girl and was like "Daddy made it!" and she jumped in his arms and he picked her up. I was talking to my TV: "You have ZERO emotional attachment to these people, Carson. None. Stop acting like that."

When they get to the groups, they could give some back stories, but like you, I'm not too interested in them at this point. I'd rather just watch singer after singer. If they don't make it, I sure don't care about a long back story.

The same thing is going on with XFactor. We see 5 people sing and a ton of back story and watching judges arrive, get their makeup etc... BORING.

Also, there was one dude that Cee LO turned around for and he did his little "unumsein" ("You know what I'm saying") thing like 5 times in about ten seconds. I should've videoed it with my phone so I could post it. It was ridiculous.

Who else thinks that the singers that get picked, but get breezed over and no back story or anything are being hosed?

They must have absolutely NO sob story to speak of.

"Well, that one time I got a hang nail in the 3rd grade."

Thank God for DVR.

That or they really weren't that good and they felt that some of those who didn't get picked actually had better performances. I know I cringed a few times when they would play the small clips from those who got picked that we didnt get to see.

Definitely. He was really good. He's also adorable. I think he picks Cristina, but I wish he'd pick Blake.
