Its on pre-order on Steam right now. Thinking about buying it. I really enjoyed the original Half-Life mod.

Has anyone got a chance to play the beta yet? I checked out the minimum reqs and they're a bit high for my computer. I've heard its more CPU dependent than on your graphics card. I'm hoping this is the case because my processor is pretty good. Anyone have any personal experience to confirm that?

I was thinking about it, but I'm not sold on it yet.

I thought the original NS was a great HL mod, but it's no The Specialists.

From what I've heard from the people that have played both, the new one is massively better than the original. Which I find hard to believe because the original was awesome. We'll see I guess. The modding tools they included are supposedly limitless.

I'll definitely be getting it.

I was too young at the time to appreciate the first Natural Selection. Pretty complex game, especially on the human side. I wouldn't be shocked if Valve eventually hires on the whole NS team.

Playing the commander role was stressful as hell.

They'd do good to, considering these guys have built this thing from the ground up with just their own recreational experience.

I've been in since the alpha, and it's been getting better and better. I haven't played in a month or so, but it was in really good shape last time I played it.

You have any opinion on my specs? I have a i7 2.7GHz, with a 512mb Radeon4850 HD.

I know I'm lacking in the memory part for the graphics, but I heard it will run if you have a decent processor. You think I'll be ok at low settings? I don't need a high FPS to enjoy the game.

I think you'll be fine. At first it was barely playable, but I don't think I've had any fps issues in a while. I usually run it on medium-high, and I'm running a AMD Phenom 965 3.4 GHz. The last time I played it I still had my Nvidia GTS 250 and I was running med-high settings (mostly high). I've updated to a GTX 550, so I should probably play a bit and see how it compares.

Cool, I hope so. I'm so excited about this one, and when I saw they had 1GB graphics minimum my heart sank. Glad to know there's some hope.
