How much longer do we need to wait before we can call him a bust. Till the end of this season?

At least with Reggie Bush there were flashes of brilliance, 3rd down conversions and highlight reel TDs, if not yards.

Til the end of the season seems fair.

But in a game with 10 rushes, I think freaking about Ingram is kind of besides the point.

As soon as we use him enough to see that he's garbage (if he is) then we could start talking about it.

Should we get rid of all of our offense after today?

You're really judging him based on THIS game?

he didn't do anything that helped us lose this game.... why is he getting a thread about being a "bust"?

i mean, i get it that everyone is upset over losing the game, but god damn.... Drew Brees was more to blame over the result today than Ingram, but you don't see much blame being dispensed on Brees' behalf..... why is that? is he "untouchable"?

i'm just saying, i could see if he fumbled the ball, or really had a lot of touches that didn't result in much production, but he didn't have but like 3 touches and one of them was actually not bad....

Ingram is a very good player, but I'm starting to think that he's in the wrong offense to maximize his skill set. He needs alot of touches like the chris johnson's of the league to be really effective.

He will never get a consistent 20-25 touches in this type of offense, so we probably wont' see the Emmitt Smith type player we were hoping for.

I know hindsight is 20/20, but seeing how well we've done going the udfa route for running backs, we probably should have tried to get another defensive player with the Ingram draft pick.

In a Baltimore/San Fran/Jax type offense, Ingram would be a great fit as he would get the lion share of carries.

Here, maybe not so much.

yep, the running game was why we lost

All Ingram's fault, PT sucked too. Sproles scored us some points so he's in the clear

i don't think the FO was thinking he would ever see 20-25 touches in a game.... for us anyway....

i'm really starting to think that selection was more for the future, to trade away for something else.... his value at the time he was picked was immense..... and down the road, someone will need a RB, and i'm really thinking, seeing how little we actually use him, and he doesn't really "fit" here (though, he tries), he's really just a bargaining chip for the future....

sorta like Cousins in Washington.... when the Skins picked him, it wasn't for him to make a contribution to their team, but they know down the road, he can be a commodity, and if they have him, they can control what they get in return for the commodity they have.....

Ingram only got like 4 carries today.

PT needs 12-15 touches a game
Sproles needs 12-15 touches a game
Ingram needs at least 10-12 touches per game.

I hate this 80% passing shite. I hated 2007 and 2008 and I didn't love last year as much as most of yall did. frick passing records - let's pound the rock and CONTROL THE TEMPO LIKE WE DID IN 2009. Give our defense a break.

We can start thinking about calling him out. Running Backs are usually at their best in years 1-5, and year 1 was nothing to be happy about.

I agree with this 100%. I think we WANT to run but our playcallers have no bloody discipline. They abandon the run at the drop of a hat. Payton had ONE good year of playcalling in 2009 and then reverted to old form due to injuries in 2010.

I cringe when he takes carries from Thomas. I don't know why this staff is so insistent on Ingram taking carries. He really does nothing better than Thomas and Thomas adds another layer in the screen game. Thomas has more power than Ingram too, IMO.

Agreed, but we need to save PT for huge games like Packers, Falcons, 49ers IMO.

Let Ingram shoulder some of the load and punishment.
