Tulane player seriously injured in collision will need spinal surgery
Great win for the Tigers tonight, but I'm thinking about that young man lying in the Tulsa hospital, not knowing if he'll ever walk again much less play football.
Here's a hope and a prayer that Devon will make a full recovery from a Tiger Fan...feel free to keep the thread going and show your support, his road is going to be long and hard.

Saw it on ESPN today, really sucks, hate to EVER hear this and then it happened again during another game tonight, but I can't remember what game it was

He graduated from destrehan a year after me. He was a smart kid and very nice. I hope for the best.

I was at that game this morning and it was one of the worst things I have ever seen at a football game. The Tulsa fan base was very respectful during the whole situation. The stadium was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. They gave a standing ovation to the Tulane player as he was driven off and when Tulane came out of the locker room. Also, the Tulsa team chaplain led everyone in prayer for him, his family, the doctors, etc.

Just saw an ESPN piece about it. Terrible situation. Said something about an emergency tracheotomy, had to do CPR and a collapsed lung I think. He is in traction and they are trying to get the swelling down in the next few days to do cervical surgery. Hoping and praying for a full recovery.
